When I went in search of another figure to add to my Doctor Who collection, my eyes locked on the Brannigan figure. Brannigan is a 'cat' from the Series 3 episode Gridlock. Although he is not human, he is in no way a 'bad guy'. He was merely trapped on the motorway of New New York like all the rest of the unfortunate victims.
The figure does resemble Brannigan quite well. His face fur colour is the perfect shade of brown with the right amount of ginger through it.His pink scarf drapes in the correct way across his brown suit, his black gloves looking almost real enough to touch. And as for his goggles - they're incredibly cute, resting on his head!
The Brannigan figure is fairly posable. Although his head does not move much, his arms do rotate, with his hands twisting right round. His legs move at the waits, and his feet turn sideways also. He does not stand too well, but if you try, you can just about balance him.
Brannigan is one of the cheapest Doctor Who figures, priced at around £3. Though you may have to pay up to £6 for him. Though, even then, I feel that he is worth it. Made from tough plastic, it's a cute little figure with great attention to detail.
Brannigan is not the only figure you can buy from Gridlock. You can also buy the 5" Novice Hame, and the Face of Boe too. You can also purchase the Doctor and Martha, though not specifically from this episode.
This is a perfect figure for any child, and is great for Doctor Who fans and collectors too. I have absolutely no regrets with my bargain of a purchase, and have made sure Brannigan sits snug as a bug (well, a cat) in my shoebox!
