DoctorWho has been on and off our screens for many years now, and the amazing sci-fi family show returned in 2005 with Chris Eccleston as our nineth Doctor. We then had David Tennant taking us through three more series as the tenth Doctor. On the way, we met many of his companions.

With the regeneration and revival of the legendary DoctorWho TV series in 2005, it was strikingly obvious that a modern merchandising campaign was going to be rolled out as soon as the first episode had finished airing as new generation of fans of had effectively been captured. In my mind Season 1 starring Christopher Eccleston as the Time Travelling Doctor gave us some good episodes to further the legacy of the Doctor.
In the=is Season there were a number of two part stories, the second two-parter of the Season was called 'The Empty Child' and 'The Doctor Dances' and this story, split across two episodes introduced us to Captain Jack Harkness for the first time. The Cast and Performances
Christopher Eccleston is excellent as the Doctor. I have seen him in only a few things over the years he has been acting, most memorably for me as a bit part in a couple of episodes of Heroes, the latest craze in American Drama series. Beside that, he never really appealed to me as the Doctor, but having now watched him in the role, I find him to be excellent. The Doctor is a very matter of fact character. As he is in human form, it is easy to forget he is an alien, and this lends itself to a couple of surprise moments in the three episodes here, and indeed in the ensuing episodes, particularly the thrilling double story in episodes 4 and 5.
Billie Piper has had a lot of criticism over the years, but I have to admit she is a very good actress in the role of Rose Tyler, the 19 year old girl who gets ...
