I'm a 20 year old female that wanted to purchase a truck, due to living on gravel roads. That's not the only reason, I've always preferred trucks over any other vehicle. When I began my research for a new truck, I started out wanting a Chevy or a Ford. Since I'm a young, small female, I thought I should go for a small truck. Based on size and looks alone, I don't care for the small Chevy S-10, or the small square Ford Ranger. Dodge hadn't even crossed my mind until my father suggested it. When I researched the Dodge Dakota, I knew it was for me. It's a bigger truck than the Chevy S-10 and Ford Ranger, but it's not a full size F150 or anything. I made my decision and financed a Dodge Dakota on Sept. 10, 2002 for $25,000 at 0% A.P.R. for 60 months. It had 0 mileage and I've broke it in well already up to about 13,500 miles. I take it in for routine service every 3,000 miles. My Dodge is a 6 cylinder, automatic. I chose not to get four wheel drive, that way I wouldn't be tempted to go play in the mud and tear it up : ) It has automatic windows, power locks, two front side air bags, keyless entry, fog lights, CD/Cassette player with 8 speakers, and much more that I will come back and update. It even has automatic features that will turn off any lights if you leave them on, so you won't run your battery down. I don't have all of my information in front of me and there's too much to remember. I suggested the Dodge Dakota to be added to this site, and I wanted to be the first one to tell you about my experience. I do apologize for being selfish in that way, but I will make up for it. Okay I'll get back to what I do know. It's available with a bench front seat with no console or bucket seats with a very nice console. All four doors are full size and the back seats are spacious enough for a tall adult to be comfortable. The back seats also lift up for better storage if you are hauling something besides people. The short bed is 6 feet long.
Thank you for reading my opinion and go ahead and "Grab Life by the Horns"!
