Halti's for dogs - do they work?

Advantages: more control of the dog
Disadvantages: some are not supplied with safety link, adjustments can become loose

...were advised to us a Halti as this apparently would give me more control of the dog. We purchased it and after some struggling of getting it on to the dog took him out for a walk. For the first few walks my dog either pulled more or rubbed his face on the ground trying to get it off, so we used the reward method and it help a lot. I did have more control of him and walks were bearable, but he was still pulling so in the end I used two leashes for ...
...I would recommend a Halti especially for large breeds who pull as you have the control there and it stopped me from being frightened of being pulled into the road when he did decide to chase something. My sister has used one on her Jack Russell and after a month as soon as the Halti was put on her she walks perfect. The Lupi works very well. Simple, easy to use, effective.

Advantages: Helps the dog to correct himself.
Disadvantages: Can possibly slip out of it.
