Advantages: none Disadvantages: everything about them is a disadvantage
I ordered some specs from Selectspecs.com after having them recommended by Martin Lewis money saving expert (how ironic!) way back in June 09. First attempt, they didn't arrive, second attempt, they still didn't arrive!! They sent ame tracking number which eventually said the parcael had been delivered to an uknown address...funny how I have everything else delivered to the same address and it arrives no problem! Sent many many many emails back and forth without getting a concrete answer in return. They send out a phone number on all of their emails then when you call say they can't offer telephone support. They then said I couldn't have a refund as it was a tailored item...of course it was, they were my prescriptionglasses!
They took my money before the item had even been dispatched....would NEVER buy from them again and would NEVER ...
Advantages: price, quality, ease of buying Disadvantages: wait for delivery, could be damaged in post, have to get a prescription
Site for eyes is a great website where you can buy extremely cheap prescriptionglasses.
Mens and woman’s rimless etc in many styles from oval to thick rimmed to rimless, I opted for the Site4eyes Mid Size Glasses, as I don’t need glasses all the time I opted for these for price more then anything.
The glasses are robust with mid size frames in bronze, the Large lenses give a bigger viewing area the glasses have flexible hinges that give extra durability and added comfort, with a fairly large nose bridge width.
The glasses I purchased have the dimensions: -

Nose Bridge 20mm
Arm Length 140mm
Frame Width 135mm

Cheap and cheerful but do exactly what they say on the tin.... and most importantly they are great value for money.
I had seen these glasses in my local optician for nearly £100 including lenses and i picked them up her for only £9.95 inlcuding lenses... absolutely amazing!
I'm not going to be walking down the catwalk in these glasses! but they are a great spare pair for work at the rate i go throught them
The website has great quaility pictures of all of the frames and even some 3d rotational models of popular frames which makes it really easy to see what you are buying before you go ahead.
The glasses are available in a choice of colours including gold, brown and gunmetal and came complete with a cleaning cloth and durable plastic hard case.
