If you suffer really badly from allergies like myself it can often become really frustrating to find perfume and other beauty products that you can actually go near without sneezing, coughing, wheezing and those dreadful runny eyes. As a result you end up buying the same safe products over and over again! I think i had actually been wearing the same perfume for nearly ten years and had decided that enough was enough. After popping several anti-histamines I decided to venture down to my local department store on a mission that I was going to find myself some new perfume. After a good hour or so I ended up with the exceptionally helpful and somewhat patient girls at the Dolce & Gabbana counter where I came upon their "Light Blue" eau de toilette.

Launched by the manufacturers in 2001 and recommended for daily use. Light blue is an extremely refreshing and light tangy fresh smelling eau de toilette spray. Once settled the fragrance boasts subtle musky hints of apple and jasmine. Having done a bit of research around this as some of the other ingredients are hard to distinguish, particularly having an untrained perfume appreciating nose like mine!!. The product also contains Sicilian Citron, Granny Smith Apple, Bluebells, Bamboo, White rose, Jasmine, Cedarwood, amber and musk. It is not over-powering when first sprayed like so many of these products are. When you dispense it small amounts come out so you are not completely drenched in perfume.
Packaging
The 100ml variety comes with an outer light blue suede effect box which is soft to the touch, featuring the company logo and the name of the perfume in silver imprint. This in my opinion makes the product look expensive and classy. The perfume itself comes in a white frosted glass rectangular shaped bottle. The lid again is light blue with a silver band below and again the silver writing. The perfume is dispensed by pump spray.
Gorgeous sweet refreshing perfume that is not sickly and doesn't catch the back of your throat. I would suggest that it could be worn as a day or evening perfume. The product is long-lasting in my opininon I would estimate a good 8 hours worth out of a couple of squirts. What i like about this product is that you actually dont really notice it when wearing it due to its subtleness. In the course of a day i forget i have it on and its other people who remark about the smell of the fragrance, and how fresh the scent is. I would recommend this for use by individuals with sensitive skin and for those who are allergic to strong smells. No rashes noticed here and I have been wearing this for a while now. Reasonably priced for a designer perfume. You will receive lots of comments when wearing this. One bottle lasts ages however contents must be used within 36 months of opening so bear this in mind. You can buy this in very pretty gift sets which contain shower gel and body lotion complimenting the perfume beautifully.
Disadvantages
Do not carry this around in your handbag unless it is tester sized. Have had two bad experiences where the top of the bottle has become loose and the contents have leaked out. Other than this none.
Overall I would definitely rate this product with 5 stars as it is gorgeous and well worth the money. Highly recommended everything that you would expect from the name D&G. Ideal summer fragrance but can be worn any time of the year.

I got my 50m/l bottle at Debenham's for £34.99 and also got my nectar points but you can pick it up from any perfumery for around £30.00 and even cheaper if you search certain websites. And there is also a shower gel available although I am unsure of the price and weight.

Advantages: Nice smell Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than most perfumes
I spotted this perfume a couple of weeks ago. Had a sniff and wasn’t sure what I thought about it – I liked it but I didn’t know how much. So I thought the best thing to do was to purchase a mini version from eBay (£3.50 for 4.5ml) and give it further testing. Now I know that miniature versions aren’t economic but if you are like me who get bored which things quickly and likes to change things frequently they are a good buy – plus they last a surprising ... ...expensive stuff putrefying all over the shop.
Anyway, back to the perfume…
Looks wise, it comes in a flocked turquoisy blue box with silver writing on it. The glass bottle is clear and has a simple tall rectangular shape. It has a silver and blue rectangular top. The effect is smart and sophisticated, but not very sexy. If you like your bottles elegant and elaborate you probably won’t think much of this.

Dolce and Gabbana light blue is a mixture of citrus and apple aroma which creates the most refreshing perfume that i personally have ever used.
Previous to smelling this perfume as a tester in Boots one saturday i was never a perfume wearing girl, as i dont like overpowering scents that you can smell for miles when you walk past someone or vice versa.
For me this scent was different it was refreshing and a pleasant citrusy? smell that did not get ... ...Dolce and Gabbana light blue comes in three different sizes 25ml, 50ml and 100ml ( i also now believe that bodycare does a 2.5ml handbag size bottle for £2.99, great for slipping inyo your bag on a nightout or even your work bag!) The price of the perfume varies according to what size you want and these are £18.50 for 50ml, and £24.99 for 100ml at Fragrance Direct on the Internet

The bottle came in a Light Blue (natch) box. It had a lovely suede feel, and silvery-gold writing stating it's name and amount. I love that box, it feels so luxurious. Upon opening the box, I found a rectangular bottle, very neat and simple. It again, stated it's name, and it had a blue lid and clearish bottle. ... ...which you can smell the scent though. Which brings me very neatly to the next topic!

*sniff sniff* Lovely! It smells quite citrus-y to me, oranges and lemons mainly. There's also a floral not to it It's a light fragrance, for day wear I suppose, thats when I wear it! I love this smell, it reminds me very much of beautiful spring days when the trees are growing new leaves, and the flowers are blooming!

...it - Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana!!
The scent itself is floral and citrus mixed together. When you first put it on you can really detect the orange scent but after a while this calms down and you are left with a really clean and delicious fragrance that lasts for hours.
I really enjoy wearing Light Blue because it always gets lots of complements and people are always asking what the name of it is. Once I was stood in a petrol station and a man ... ...it was! How many perfumes are there on the market that have that kind of power...not many I can tell you!
The packaging is quite plain but effective, and this suits the product itself, as it is very subtle and delicate with the silver script and the frosted bottle.
I would even go so far as to say this perfume is a modern day classic and I for one will definitely always have a bottle on my shelf.
The price of Light Blue varies somewhat so it is ...

The Packaging
The name of the fragrance evokes the Mediterranean sea and the dazzling white limestone cliffs as a backdrop. The box follows the theme with a solid greyish lightblue colour and silver engraved lettering. The box looks attractive though I found the bottle plain and unimpressive made of a chunky, cylindrical and dome-shaped milky white glass.
