I handed over seven grand for a new bathroom a couple of months ago to Dolphin - and THEN found these reviews! You can imagine my panic. However, I have to be honest and say I was thoroughly impressed with Dolphin's professionalism from start to finish and am now the proud owner of a beautiful, gleaming, well-fitted bathroom.
The sales process was bizarre - basically he asked how much we were prepared to spend: I lied and told him 6 grand (I'd set aside 8 and a half). After going right round the houses we settled on 7, but not before the figure 20k was mentioned! But the salesman was a decent bloke and knew his stuff.
We paid a deposit there and then, and a surveyor came round a week later to double check our order. The plans were detailed and accurate and there was no doubt about what we were paying for.
Another week or so passed before the whole suite was delivered. Luckily, we have a spare bedroom where we were able to store the goods, but for some households, especially with kids, this could well be a problem. We also had to pay, in full, on delivery, which I really didn't feel happy about.
The bathroom stayed there for 3 weeks and I had to make a couple of calls just to jog things along, but immediately after my second call, a start date was booked. The two fitters were fantastic - two lads called Dave & Chris who couldn't have been nicer to deal with. The place was kept as clean as possible and their work was top notch. An electrician appeared midway through the job to fit the lights and our old suite was ripped out, all the tiles and floor coverings removed, a new ceiling put in, new lights and all walls skimmed in less than five days. The new suite looks immaculate (we went for the curved shower screen and the D-shaped bath) and everything has been finished to perfection. the lads even did a cople of extra jobs which we didn't pay for - it cost us a few cups of tea and some packets of biscuits!
There were frequent phone calls from Dolphin to check on progress and a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the job. Two weeks later, we are still delighted with the work and the finished bathroom. We have one very minor problem in that the seal between bath and bath panel has come away in places, but we have mentioned it to Dolphin and are awaiting a response. To be honest, it will be easily rectified.
Overall, it was a suprisingly unstressful experience and I woldn't hesitate to recommend Dolphin; yes, we've paid over the odds, but we didn't have to lift a finger or make any calls to find separate plasters, tilers, fitters, electricians, etc, and we have a good warranty, as well.

How did you get it so cheap. We had a rep round yesterday and quoted a complete refit for our rather small bathroom. The quote was £13,000. The only offer was if we took out a finance contract they would take 10% off the price. I was offended as I think he thought we were stupid. I didn't ask, but I bet the percentage was at least 19% from the finance company!!!!! Needless to say he didn't get the order. Nice review and glad you had no trouble. Barbara xx
