Here are the opions of my experience: After having a sales consultat our house and ending up with a quote of £8300 for our small bathroom doing, it was indeed far more (by about £2000) expensive than we were thinking, but decided to go ahead on the basis of relying upon a long standing, professional and well established company to do the whole thing. Excepting the painting that was. The all in one package attracted us.
There are far too many problems to go into detail about re: the experience and product we have, to comment on, so I will name just a few things.
the promised 10 working day turnaround was not going to plan but as we addressed this continually it was ignored. We were never apologised to for ANYTHING until it had gone too far and we had not only had a manager of the area to our home but written our complaints in.
Installers never turned up the first time with no notification, then only worked 3-4 hour days, came and left when they pleased and even took a key without permisiion one day when out for lunch.
Cracked bedroom walls Stained towels and carpets No central heating or hot water for almost 48 hrs Rude and harassing (to women) staff No bath, shower for almost all of installation
Not finished on time either and such a poor job done my husband wanted them to rip it out and leave, especially when they tiled the wall lopsisded and then we found out installer had a drink problem! It all added up!
All this and more :lies sloppy work, a new fitter sent after Xmas without our bathroom and a measly £500 compensation for all this was an insult on our £8300 bathroom.
We only wish now we had never chosen Dolphin, and as a consequence would never touch Moben, their other company and Sharps.
They have now lost a potential sale from neighbours of ours, but once they have your money they couldn't give a damn. Later on they admitted only 20% of their staff are directly employed. We got this type second time around and made a world of difference.
UPDATE: My ceiling leaked water and my tank ahd to be replaced. They ad cut a hole too large for the connecting pipe and just left it.
£600 later they have also replaced my tank and are paying for my damaged celing. Since the middle of May they have had the cheek not to send payment even yet.
THEY HAVE JUST BEEN TAKEN OVER APPARENTLY. Dont let them fool you under a different name!
