Books David Melling is one of the leading childrens authorillustrators today and his second book about Douglas the little brown bear is as funny and compelling as the first. "...banana hat and an I don't like peas hat!! Some weird and wonderful illustrations that my little girl finds very funny. The rest of the illustrations throughout the book are really large and almost jump off the page as you look at them and to me they really bring the story to life. The text is black and nice and bold so it is really easy to read and hopefully for little kids get used to seeing words and start to recognise them.
