Finally Nintendo bring along ... ...be used for the odd Donkey Konga session before gathering dust. Ever one for innovation they decided on a new use for those bongos. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is the worlds first bongo-controlled platform game and, unless there's a sequel, probably the last. Bucking the trend for most videogames these days there's little story to Jungle Beat. Put simply Donkey Kong wants to be king of the jungle. Donkey Kong is a marvellous game in anyone's books. The graphics are great and the levels are over flowing with excitement and mystery! Over the years Nintendo have tested the minds of gamers and have mesmerised them in gloriously colourful worlds and scenery! Never before have I quite experienced something like this game though. I love the idea that you combine instruments and computer games together.
Story line
... ...once again. There are 50 sprites hidden all the kingdoms. DK must find as many bananas as he can to exchange them for sprites at the magical tree.
Objective
Help DK (Donkey Kong) to collect as many bananas as you can to get special jungle sprites from the magical tree at the end of each level. All in all there are 13 levels which each ascend in difficulty until you get to the last level in which you have to find the evil king ape and kill him.

My son saw the advertisements for this on the television, I was put off initially by the game because it shows children jumping up and down and being quite manic with the controllers to control the characters, my children get hyped up with the eye toy... more

March of the minis was a pretty quite release, there was no mass histeria or advertising campains which we've come to expect from games in the mario series, and the fact of the matter is, its a good little game, but its just not "MARIO" good.
