...I became obsessed with the Donkey Kong games - there I was thinking nothing could beat my love of Mario. These DK games for me, made Mario look like Pacman. I used to play them day in day out - I even got the stage where I would come home after my GCSE exams and play the 'underwater levels' because they used to totally relax me. I think it was something about a gorilla riding on the back of a swordfish to the music of panpipes…surreal, yes, but soothing ... ...to how I remember the Donkey Kong games to be, but having DK in the game, I thought 'how bad could be?' So, whilst transferring flights at Chicago, I bought it from a game shop for a mere $15 (bargain, about 1/3 of the price in UK) and got playing. Did it live up to my expectations? Heck no!

My son saw the advertisements for this on the television, I was put off initially by the game because it shows children jumping up and down and being quite manic with the controllers to control the characters, my children get hyped up with the eye toy... more
March of the minis was a pretty quite release, there was no mass histeria or advertising campains which we've come to expect from games in the mario series, and the fact of the matter is, its a good little game, but its just not "MARIO" good.
