I have to say that Dorothy Perkins is fast becoming one of my favourite shops to buy clothes, for any occasion. I can always find what I am looking for and the good thing is that because it is so popular nowadays, there is nearly always a branch on my door step. There is also a website where you can buy items online. Although I tend not to do this as there is a £3.95 delivery charge and you have to pay to return your items if they are the wrong size, so I stick to buying in-store. But the website comes in handy to have a look for items you like, then go into the shop and buy them!
THE CLOTHES Now I'm not saying that the clothes in DP will suit everybody's style, but I would say that it covers a large age range, probably starting from age 14, although they don't do children's sizes. They do a wide range of sizes, upto size 20 but I am not particularly sure. Some of the petite sizes even start from size 4 - yes, size 4! I never have a problem finding my size and they always seem to have a wide variety of sizes in stock. Nearly all stores have changing rooms so you don't have to stand there in the store slipping things on or guessing what will fit you. Sometimes I do have to try on a few different sizes and I find that they vary depending on what style or material the item is, but I always find that once I have the correct size, it fits perfectly. Dorothy Perkin's do a wide slection of clothes, such as different styles of tops (bandeau tops, hoodies, cardigans, jumpers, smock tops), denim wear ( bootcut jeans, flare, wide leg, skinny and straight leg). It is also good for work clothes and outerwear, and in the autumn they stock many coats and jackets. Not only do they do just clothes, but they also do jewellery and accessories and footwear.
THE PRICES One of my favourite items that I buy religiously from there is jeans. This is because the prices are what I am prepared to pay for jeans. You can pick up and pair of slouch/bootleg jeans for £20 - I think that's a real bargain! In fact, the majority of the clothes in there are reasonably priced. Alothough some of the smarter more formal pieces are probably more expensive, and, like any high street shop, the posher the material, the more expensive the item. They also do very good offers, such as 3 strap tops fro £5, and so on.
BONUS Now, as I am a student and at college, I own a student union card, otherwise known as NUS Extra. With this, I can get upto 10% off my total bill, and sometimes they have limited offers for upto 15% off! Which is brillaint, so I can save much more on my purchases!
Thanks for reading Now go shop!! xx
