I have been shopping at dorothy Perkins for some years now and I have nearly always found the staff very polite and helpfull and I find the clothes quality very good and I have pieces in my wardrobe that have been there for some years that are still in fab condition.
However I am not reviewing the shop as such I wanted to review the service i had there the other day. I went into my local dorothy perkins in Cardiff city centre which is a fairly new store and the layout is fantastic there are 3 floors. Basement floor is Shoes, middle floor is accessories and then the top floor is clothes.
Entering the store
When you walk into the store you enter ont he middle floor which is accessories the displays are fantastic and all accessories are grouped in colours so you will find all the gold bags, belts, purses ect in one section, red in another and so on. Jewlery is also set out into spacific ranges, evening wear, day wear ect. At the back of the accessories level there is the underwear section which is really nicely set out and you are able to find what you want easily and i also found that underwear was in size order wich meant no having to trail through all the knickers to find your size bargin!
So i needed the clothes level as i had to take a faulty item back and so i had to take the lift as i had my son with me int he buggy the downside to the life was that it is very small and me, the buggy and my partner managed to squeeze in there buti would have hated for it to break down whilst we were in it would not have been ideal.
Top floor
when coming out of the life you were imidiatly greeted by a full scale image of yourself in the floor length mirror lol not a pretty site when walking around town on wales last rugby game of the six nations! Anyway the top floor is laid out in a fantastic order imidiatly as you get out of the life you have work clothes, full of smart trousers, shirts ect then at the back you have the tall, petite and maternity ranges in sections which are clearly labelled so you can easily see where they are. Towards the other side of the floor you have evening and clubbing wear and then at the back to the side is casual wear jeans ect. The changing rooms are clearly marked out and are easy yo find and the tills are very easily found.
I easily located where i needed to go to take back the top and i did not have to wait in the que long as all the tills were open and the staff worked quickly to disperce the forming ques. As the top i had was faulty the manager agreed that i could have an exchange so went to check for my size, the size i wanted was not on display so she rang to the stock room and had them locate my size and it swiftly turned up at the cash desk. I showed them my reciept and within 10 min i was walking out the shop with a new top!Sorted.
Basment
Even thought I didnt need shoes and wasnt going to buy any i decided to take a look anyway, again i had to go in the life which was the same tiny lift. the shoes department was small in conparessement to the rest of the store but the shoes were easily located and set out into boots, evening shoes, work soes, casual shoes and there were shop assistants on hand to help. the stock room was on the same level and it appeared that staff were very quick in getting shoes for customers, there was also a till point on the shoes department which meant that u didnt have to que up with everyone else.
Conclusion
would defonatly say that dorothey perkins cardiff is the best store i have been in it is very well laid out, and the staff are very friendly, if an item of clothing is not on display it is no bother for the staff to check the stock room and i had no problems in returning a faulty item. I would defo reccoment there if you are ever in cardiff
