Advantages: High quality Disadvantages: Quite pricey
I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to coffee and like to try different brands. However, I invariably find that few brands can match the superiority and quality offered by DouweEgberts.
The company first began making coffee some 250 years ago, and has grown since then to become one of the largest coffee roasters in the world today. It is known throughout the world for its exquisite coffees and high standards.
On a recent shopping trip, I purchased DouweEgbertsContinentalGold as it was on special offer. It is a freeze dried instant coffee, so there is no need for a cafetière. Simply put a couple of teaspoonfuls into a cup, add boiling water, and milk and sugar if required.

shop .....buy a stock in if you are used to the brand of DouweEgberts...because this is to the same high standard !

I've spent ages trying to find an instant coffee that tastes as good as stuff made in my cafetiere, and I really did think that with Carte Noire coffee I'd found the closest one. But then one day my parents decided to buy DouweEgberts freeze dried coffee, and I changed my mind...in an instant! (sorry)
This is going to be two opinions in one, so that I can tell you about both of the coffees in this range - Continental Dark, and ContinentalGold.
Both come in a 200g glass jar for the sum of £3.74, or a 100g jar for around £2.59. As I said earlier, slightly more pricy than other brands, but, as always, you're paying for quality.
