A Taste of Coffee Heaven

Advantages: High quality
Disadvantages: Quite pricey

I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to coffee and like to try different brands. However, I invariably find that few brands can match the superiority and quality offered by Douwe Egberts. It is known throughout the world for its exquisite coffees and high standards. On a recent shopping trip, I purchased Douwe Egberts Continental Gold as it was on special offer. Advantages: tastes better than most other freeze dried coffees
Disadvantages: slightly more expensive than others

I've spent ages trying to find an instant coffee that tastes as good as stuff made in my cafetiere, and I really did think that with Carte Noire coffee I'd found the closest one. But then one day my parents decided to buy Douwe Egberts freeze dried coffee, and I changed my mind...in an instant! (sorry) This is going to be two opinions in one, so that I can tell you about both of the coffees in this range - Continental Dark, and Continental Gold. Both come in a 200g glass jar for the sum of £3.74, or a 100g jar for around £2.59. As I said earlier, slightly more pricy than other brands, but, as always, you're paying for quality. Douwe Egberts have been around and producing coffee since 1753, and they've definitely worked out the right way to do it by now... CONTINENTAL DARK: The label around this jar is, naturally, dark in ...
