During the cold, winter months, I suffer from extremely dry skin from my knees downwards, I am always on the look out for effective moisturizers to combat the effects of the harsh weather on my skin.

The Body Cream Oil is currently only £3.32 so well worth stocking up on if you are a fan of this lotion.

■■■ Packaging ■■■

This body cream oil comes in a very deep, deep burgundy coloured plastic bottle / container. It sits on the lid, which is flip top. On opening the top there is, unsurprisingly a small hole from which the cream is easily dispensed. There isn't a 'plunger' as shown on the photo by ciao.

I do however prefer tubs to tubes as you are guaranteed no waste, i.e. you can scrape the last remains of the cream from a tub, more difficult from a tube unless you decide to cut through the plastic when it's very near the end and scrape the insides out!

■■■ My experience ■■■

~ The smell ~

This has quite a strong perfume based scent so stay away from it if you aren't partial to scented creams. The smell stays for quite some time. Not a problem for me as I mainly use it on my legs but I would imagine that if you are using it on areas where you would apply any perfumes then it could clash with your scent.

~ Consistency and Look ~

This is white in colour and is quite thick. The name of the product made me think that it would be thin and oil-like but it isn't. It simply looks like other moisturising creams that I have used.

~ Absorption ~

It is very easy to rub in and despite my initial doubts as to whether it would have a greasy feel to it, given the oil base, it really doesn't.

It quickly absorbs in to my very dry, flaky skin - the skin quite literally 'sucks' it up like a sponge!! However even on my arms and torso which aren't overly dry, it still absorbs relatively quickly. No having to hang around waiting for it to dry for longer than a minute which is a huge bonus for someone like me who has little patience when it comes to waiting for creams to dry before getting dressed.

~ General ~

To the best of my knowledge this doesn't stain clothes, never has with any of mine.

This cream has certainly improved the flakiness and dryness of my legs. With other products, I have applied them after a bath, gone to bed and awoken with the flakes back. Not so with this cream.
It's moisturising benefits last through the night and a little does go a long way so despite the initial cost it lasts a considerable length of time even when used on a daily basis. Very often, I have bought cheaper products which sometimes end up being a false economy as you need so much of it to moisturise your skin that the product needs replenishing quite quickly. This isn't the case with this.

~ Offers moisturising relief to very dry skin.
~ A little goes a long way.
~ Makes my skin feel very soft and nourished.

I'm very pleased with the way in which this cream moisturises my very dry skin during the winter months and will certainly be popping to Tesco's to get another bottle of it whilst it's on special offer, every little really does help!

I initially associated this range of products with people who were even older than me!! But I was wrong, as Dove states "Beautiful skin has no age limit".
