Now, I’m all in favour of hand pump dispenser soaps. I can’t be doing with messy bars of soap lying around my sinks, bath and shower. Nor do I relish cleaning the gooey residue they leave behind. So give me soap distributed via a pump dispenser anyday!
Dove Cream Wash Refreshing Blue comes in a white plastic bottle almost oval in shape. The Dove logo is printed on the front. The dispenser, midnight blue in colour, is attached to the top. The soap, also blue in colour is not too thick and not too runny (or as Goldilocks would say, “just right”!) and because the consistency of the liquid is balanced, it doesn’t allow for messy drips or gooey puddles over your sink surfaces.
The ingredients of the soap are numerous and I won’t claim to know what most of them are. Even after searching for hours on the Internet I’m still none the wiser.(Perhaps someone could give me a helping hand here and let me know where I can find this Info. Thanks) Ingredients aside (even though I know some of you are really interested in the chemicals that are injected into our products for environmental reasons and so forth) the soap itself performs more than adequately. Don’t expect bubbles and lather however, because you just won’t get it with this product. But as I’ve come to discover by reading several articles on this site, the lather doesn’t add to the cleansing effect or properties...it just makes you think it does. So...no lather, but your hands really do feel clean after washing with this soap.
The product manages to live up to its claim of leaving “your skin feeling soft and smooth”. I noticed how smooth my hands felt immediately after using for the first time and believe me, the effects last. This is an important consideration for me since I’m always complaining of sore, dry skin on my hands and since I have been using this soap there is definitely a remarkable difference. So top marks to Dove on that one!
The scent that lingers on your hands after washing with this is pleasant enough. A fresh, breezy aroma - not too powerful - but delicate and light. Again top marks there.
Dove Cream Wash Refreshing Blue is a product from Lever Faberge. One of the leading companies in household and personal care products. The company was founded by William Faberge in the 19 Century and began with Mr. Faberge manufacturing and selling bars of soap. Since then the company has prospered and now makes a vast array of famous/well known products such as Persil, Comfort, Domestos, Impulse, Lynx, Organics, Timotei, Vaseline Intensive Care and many, many more including Dove Cream Wash which was launched in 1997.
You will be able to find this information at the Lever Faberge website :
www.elida.co.uk
Alternatively you can visit:- www.dove.co.uk if you would like more information on the Dove range alone.
Although I am relatively happy with the performance of the soap there is no information on the bottle regarding non animal testing or hypoallergy testing which I know will be off putting to many consumers. And had I looked closely at the product before purchase I also may not have bought it for the same reasons. However, if you choose your purchases because of their performance then I would recommend this product to you...and all because it works a treat.
Advantages: good quality, good prices, wide availability Disadvantages: not the best brand ever...
Dove is, nowadays, a well-known beauty brand. It is well known basically because of its low prices and its good quality.
I decided to write about the Dove range since I have tried some of its products from body cream to hair conditioner, beauty bars... and I feel I might rate the range overall.
Dove is basically a beauty brand which bases its policy in finding solutions for women beauty needings...mmm...like most beauty brands do, you may say...and ... ...rest. In the case of Dove range, this special feauture, I would say, is that this brand claims to be the only one that uses 1/4 of moisturising milk in almost every one of their products. Moreover, and this is totally a subjective statement, I think Dove packaging is particularly outstanding and it helps the brand to be more recognisable in our eyes. The brand normally uses white satinated plastic packages and golden letters in most of their products, ...

...care but I have tried Dove Soap several times and found it does seem to live up to the claims made by its manufacturer,Lever Faberge.. Unlike most other soaps this brand comes in a very attractive small box. It is apparently made up of one quarter moisterizing cream and three quarters soap. As the

Dove has a nice rather flowery smell, lathers very easily and is pure white or creamy in colour. It has a very soft texture but the down side is that it dosen't seem to last very long, maybe because it is so soft. It also has a most interesting sort of sculptured shape.
Among its ingredients are Rosewood Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Coconut Acid and Water.
If you have dry skin I would ...

Dove have been around for a while now and I’ve been chasing their products almost as much as Tom chases Jerry (love it!!!) Onwards to the actual opinion before I screw it up completely!!! The lovely people at Dove have given us a humongous range of products which include the following:

The Dove deodorant range provides maximum dryness combined with moisturising cream to take care of your skin (yea – well, that’s what they all say right?). Advantages: it really does work Disadvantages: it works but with me it was after 3 washes but hey thats great
My daughter had seen this shampoo, Dove therapy pro-age shampoo advertised and bought some which is not unusual for her as she does believe all advertisements, but when I saw her and her hair looked different although I could not think what was different I asked what she had done to it and the answer was nothing just used this new shampoo and you should use it Mum and told me she would get me some.
It is called Dove Therapy and on the bottle it says shampoo Full and Thick with repairing serum. Weak hair lacking volume.
Well that is exactly what my hair was, lacking volume.
What it does
It gently removes build-up to maintain volume whilst protecting hair from damage. It leaves thinning hair looking beautifully fuller and thicker.
How does it work
It works by a bodyfying gentle cleansing system creates and maintains ...

Advantages: Nice smell, it works Disadvantages: None
I really like the Doverange of beauty products and use quite a lot of their offerings, deodorant, soap etc so when I was looking for a new body cream/hand cream I went straight to the Dove products. I was looking for a fairly thick, rich cream as I have had really dry hands recently so I decided upon the Dove Pro Age Body Cream Oil. It had a label on the top saying that it had a rich cream-oil formula so I thought this would be perfect.
From looking at their website, www.dove.co.uk I found out a bit more about their Dove Pro*Age Range. They are quoted as saying, "Dove believes beauty has no age limit. That's why we've developed Dove Pro*age - a range of skin, deodorant and haircare products designed to give your skin and hair what it needs right now. Each product contains real, active ingredients to help bring out the best in you ...
Advantages: A really good deodorant Disadvantages: None that I have found
A good deodorant is essential to me. Theres nothing worse than being paranoid over being too sweaty so I like to have a deodorant that leaves you with a clean and fresh feeling all day long. I have tried many deodorants in both roll-on and spray form but I find that the Doverange of deodorants suit me the best.
Dove deodorants are obviously not the cheapest on the shelves but they do the job better than any other I have tried. Their range of deodorants have expanded over the years and I have tried most. At present I have their Go Fresh deodorant as it looked appealing on the shelves.
The Dove Go Fresh range has a few different fragrances available. Each is recognisable by the different coloured lids. They are also available in spray or roll-on form.
I have thei grapefruit and lemongrass scent which is packaged within a white ...
