Anyone who is a regular reader of my reviews will know that I really rate the Dove range of products. I like to try pretty much every lotion and potion they bring out, but for me their original products are just as good as the new ideas they keep coming up with.

I am a regular user of their Original Shampoo for Normal Hair. I have tried most different shampoos they offer but this is just as good as any of these.

This shampoo is available in a 250ml white plastic bottle with royal blue flip top lid. The shampoo itself is white and has a nice thickness to it. When applied to the hair, it works up into a rather thick creamy lather which to me shows a good quality shampoo. As with all other shampoos you simply rinse, and repeat if necessary. When I was towel drying my hair, I really did notice how clean and fresh my hair felt and that was before drying.

After drying my hair looked really shiny and clean and also felt soft. It gave my hair a really healthy look and my usual dry ends didn't look as dry. I now use this shampoo on a regular basis and it really does seem to have made a difference to my hair. Although this shampoo is designed for normal hair, my hair type is quite greasy by nature and this shampoo has definitely made a positive difference to my in that my hair now stays grease free for a longer period of time before it looks like it needs washing again. I have been trying for a while to find a shampoo that meets my needs and this one does it better than many other shampoos which are designed especially for greasy hair do.

This shampoo can generally be found for £2.50 from most stores, however you can very often find Dove products on offer, so I tend to wait until a special offer arises before buying it. Even at full price I do believe this shampoo is worth the extra cost in comparison to other shampoos due to the quality of the shampoo you are getting.

This shampoo is unscented but does leave a nice 'clean' smell on your hair. It clains to strengthen your hair too by protecting the hair fibre. I do suffer from split ends and I have to say although my hair does look healthier, I haven't really noticed less split ends so I wouldn't say it has particularly strengthened my hair to an extent that I have noticed.

Overall though I am a real fan of this shampoo. Although it is not particuarly aimed at my hair type, I feel this is the best shampoo on the market for me. It leaves my hair looking cleaner and shinier than any other shampoo I have tried. It isn't the cheapest around, but for me it is worth every penny. You hair looks clean, feels clean and smells clean, and thats all I want from my shampoo. Dove is a tried and tested, high quality brand and this shampoo is a good advert for the Dove brand.
