I bought the Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Clay Mask along side the Dr. Hauschka Facial Steam Bath because these compliment each other and both have effective results when used together. This face mask set me back just under £20 but for once I did not mind because I knew this would work on my terrible skin at the time. I don't mind paying a hefty price if the product is actually going to work and in a quick time as well. My skin at the time was filled with blemish's that just wouldn't budge and the looked nasty and sore and it was difficult to cover with make up some days.
This mask is best suited to oily and blemished type skin although any type can use it but it is mainly aimed at those two types. I don't get any oily patches but of course like already stated I did at the time have a few too many blemishes. When I used the Dr. Hauschka Facial Steam Bath as my face was still moist and warm I put my ready made mixture of this onto my skin and left it to set, you do this once a week and you don't need to do it any more than that because this is effective.
You have to make this product up yourself and this is how you do it -
-Problem skin should have the mask treatment once a week, and the mask treatment should follow a steam treatment using Facial Steam Bath.
Mix the mask before the steam treatment so that you can apply it immediately afterwards.
-Mix one heaped teaspoon of powder to about one and a half teaspoons of water to create a soft paste.
Apply the mask to your skin using a mask brush or your fingers, avoiding the immediate eye area.
-Sensitive skin should leave the mask on for 3-5 minutes; dry and normal skin should leave it on for 5-10 minutes; oily and impure skin should leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
-Remove the mask with lots of warm water, then splash with cool water. Apply Facial Toner or Clarifying Toner, and your usual moisturiser.
It's easy to mix this up,I have a separate pot in which I make this because this doesn't come with any extra pots to make this up in.It's really easy to mix this and the solution only takes several minutes to be completed. The product after I had made it was very runny and at the time I didn't know if it was supposed to be or if I had done it wrong and it was supposed to be thick, but now I know it was fine how I made it up. Applying this is very cool on the face which is refreshing after you've had your face steamed for 15 minutes. This mask will dry like a regular mask and I leave mine on for around 15 minutes so I have a half a hour treatment all together, this feels really heavy on the face and feels like it's just clogging my freshly opened pores up, looking in the mirror this is an unattractive brown colour but no one looks attractive in a face mask do they.
Washing this off after my time was up to my surprise with a slash or two of warm water this started to come off with ease once I had finished I usually have some around my nose jaw and hair line but everything came off straight away. drying my face I moved closer to inspect my face not expecting to see a difference however I was wrong, from that first time of using both the mask and the steam my blemishes were a lot more pinky than they were red and I couldn't believe this, after using this for just over a month my skin got clearer and clearer every time and stayed that way.
Not only were the blemishes reduced from the first time of using this my skin also looked more radiant, I could wear less make up and my skin was healthier and soft and I got many compliments about it. I would definitely recommend this product for blemished skin because for once this is a product that works.
