Today I will tell you about my beloved
Dr. Pepper Zero
How come I write about it? I love Dr.Pepper, I really do. I'd go as far as to say it's my favourite drink in the world. It is hard to get in Germany, and the Zero-version is nonexistent over here, so I always buy loads of bottles when I am in the UK. I am very calorie-concious, so the Zero variety had me jubilating!
What is it? Dr.Pepper is a fizzy drink ("sparkling fruit flavour soft drink") made by Coca Cola. I have to admit I never recognized any fruity flavours in it - actually it reminded me of coke with marzipan or somewhat almond-like taste. It comes as Dr.Pepper and Dr.Pepper Zero (used to be called "Diet Dr.Pepper"). It looks like coke but doesn't contain caffeine - only caffeine flavouring. A pharmacist created it in 1885, so it is only one year younger than Coca Cola itself. The name Dr.Pepper doesn't have anything to do with the taste - the drink's creator named the drink after a man who gave him work.
The bottle I have a 2 litre bottle sitting on my desk right now - this is the one I always buy since I never see Dr.Pepper zero in small bottles. At a newsagent in Brixton, London, I once stumbled across a few cans - but that was all! The bottle is made of clear plastic with a black cap saying "ZERO - open by hand". The label that is glued around the bottle is mainly red with splashes of liquid in a lighter shade of red and some violet. The Dr Pepper writing comes in white in it's typical font, with the small (R) behind it. Underneath, it says "zero" in the same style as it does on the Coca Cola bottles. Under the logos, you can read "the great Dr Pepper taste with zero sugar". You also get nutritional information on the left that go for a 250ml serving. The whole logo and writing stuff is printed on the label twice - and then we get to the interesting bit - the ingredients and details!
Ingredients and nutritional information The label recommends to serve the drink ice cold. The drink itself is described as a "sparkling low calorie fruit flavour soft drink with sweeteners".
The full range of flavourings is, of course, not given - just like KFC, the flavour is the big secret.

In red, almost invisible writing, the bottle it says "What's the worst that could happen?". I have no idea what that saying has to do there, but it made me laugh because I found it out for the first time now.
The taste The liquid is almost identical to coke and pepsi - but the small is sweeter. The tase and the smell both very much remind me of the confectionary 'marzipan', made of almonds and sugar. We will probably never get behind the secret mixture, as the company really does keep it very secret - but almond is what I can taste, and my grandma confirmed that. One of my friends claimed he really does taste pepper, but as a regular consumer I can not validate that. Maybe there's a hint of vanilla there, too? Let me know what you taste. Being a zero-drink, Dr Pepper zero tastes different from the regular Dr Pepper. I haven't had a regular one for ages, so when my boyfriend bought one with a meal deal. I took a sip. The regular Dr Pepper was less carbonated and the taste somehow seems more 'mended'. By that I mean that you can't really say it tastes like sugar, or it tastes really fizzy - the taste is more compact. The sweetener in Dr Pepper can clearly be identified as a sweetener by taste, but I really like it. I actually don't like the taste of sugar. I usually leave my Dr Pepper Zero sitting without the cap for 20 minutes so some of the fizziness goes away, because I really do find it a little too fizzy.
Price I bought this two litre bottle at Morrisons for one pound, which is quite a bargain in my opinion. At Tesco, the same sized bottle was about 1,40 - but Tesco also had a wider choice of drinks, since we went to the big one in Dover.
Pros&Cons Pros: -tasty -no caffeeine -refreshing -helps you to drink more liquid, as most of us drinkf ar too little and drinking is more fun if you have something that tastes nice
Cons: -sweetener aspartame (said to be very, very unhealthy) -a bit too fizzy -expensive compared to supermarket's own brands
Conclusion I love Dr Pepper and love to pay a higher price for much higher quality. The taste is unique and really refreshing. I will keep buying lots of Dr Pepper Zero whenever I can and enjoy it lots. I am satisfied with the quality and the packaging looks really nice too. The only minus that really matters to me is that the bottle is a bit big for taking it with you when you go to school or work, but as I drink a lot during the day I need a big portion.
Advantages: tastes nice and is good value for money Disadvantages: high sugar content

...review is not just on Dr Pepper, it is on the differences between products from the UK and abroad, in this case England and Holland; because the difference is extraordinary.
On first appearances you may not notice that your lovely red can of Dr Pepper is not a UK buy, especially if you like I just assume that when you buy a can of fizzy drink it will be the same as the last one you had. === So what is Dr Pepper?===
Dr Pepper is a fruit flavoured ... ...Aside of the traditional Dr Pepper I will be reviewing, the brand is also home to Diet Dr Pepper, Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, Caffeine- Free Dr Pepper and Caffeine Free Diet Dr Pepper. I believe that in the UK the caffeine free version is called Z Dr Pepper or something similar, but as I do not buy it I am not 100% sure.
I tend to buy my drinks in cans, usually in a 6 pack so I have a weeks worth, though I would stress ...

Advantages: Great Unique Taste Disadvantages: Sticky
I first latched on to Dr Pepper around two years ago, it was a hot summers day and I needed something to quench my first, upon visiting the corner shop to get my regular coca-cola, I was surprised to see that they had sold out. It was at this time that I decided to give this a try and became quite fond of the unique taste.
At first I thought that Dr Pepper had only been around for 10 years or so, however after a little search on the Internet, I ... ...two to three bottles of Dr Pepper to accompany the Jaffa Cakes and Pringles. The bottles in subject are the plastic two litre ones that I currently get on offer from Asda at a price of £3 for three bottles, to buy them as singles currently cost £1.20.
The bottles are rather plain to look at - they are clear plastic with a maroon wrapper around the waist (covering around 75% of the bottle) with large white lettering spelling out the words ‘Dr ...

But one day I went into the shop and thought well might as well try it so I picked up the see-through bottle with dark red label with bold white letters saying Dr Pepper on it, put it in the fridge for a few hours to make it nice and cold, when I took it out and opened it, it made a fizzing sound then put the bottle to my mouth and took the first sip and then immediately ... ...usually mix’n’match, coke, sprite and Dr Pepper – normal and diet versions

DIET CHERRY COKE
I drink far too much diet coke mainly the caffeine free version as it?s my favourite and I prefer the taste as its not so sweet, so I never knew Cherry Coke existed until today, so with it being product of the week and I?ve never done product of the week before I?m about to give it ago. So here?s my review on diet Cherry Coke.
So what is Cherry Coke ? Cherry coke is manufactured by Coco Cola they are the largest manufacture of soft drinks. Cherry Coke has been around since 1986. So here?s a little more about the product and what I think.
SMELL ? COLOUR - TASTE
The smell of Cherry coke is quite fruity in fact I think it smells a little like DrPepper, there is a faint smell of cherry but the main smell I can smell is liquorice of all things, DrPepper however have been ...
drink brings to my throat when I drink it. Flavours queue up on my tongue - peaches, cinnamon, something thick and treacly . It'd delicious, but on it's own, perhaps a little too strong for me to take anything other than the smallest sips .
Never fear though - Southern Comfort mixes easily with orange juice, lemonade, and (my favourite) DrPepper . But, be warned, mixing it with DrPepper in particular has proven to have dire consequences for me the next morning - due to it's deceptive sweetness and the ease of drinking, I have often drunk rather more than I intended, and sadly suffered appalling hangovers as a result .
For those who like cocktails, SoCo is pretty versatile here too . You can find a barrage of cocktail recipes all over the internet, but below are a couple of combinations I've tried and loved - perhaps you'll love them too ...
