Dr Stuarts' Teas is of extremely poor quality especially the Detox Tea in which such products have been found to be contaminated and infested with insects still alive in the unopened retail pack.

Since there is no product gaurantee for quality, you will be lucky if you don't purchase a lot that has this quality problem.

The problem of infestation appears only after the product has been kept and not immediately used.

Depending on where you purchased the product from, the outlet may claim that the contamination is not their problem.

However the more serious issue is that this product and for that matter the whole range of Dr Stuarts' Teas is a health hazard and unfit for human consumption.

The old packing mentions that:
"Where possible, Dr Stuart uses DAB10 grade herbs to guarantee superior taste & quality. It ensures a high level of essential oils and gives the tea a stronger flavour and greater effect.

DAB stands for Deutsche Arznei Buch. It is the official Pharmacopoeia of the Pharmaceutical Committee indicating the level of ingredients in the product. D.A.B 10 is the highest measurable standard in the world and means that the herbs are of sufficient quality to be used in medicinal products."

Is Dr Stuarts no longer using such high quality grade as this is no longer mentioned in the new packing which is more to distract the consumers that provide any real information or hav they used such quality herbs inthe first place. There are overseas website still laying claim to this old line.

Some reviewer have asked for a link to support for this information. I do hope that the product will come under investigation by the various Health Authorities by which time if there is a link, this will be provided.

In the meantime, if these reviewers would like to have a sample to see for themselves, they can send me a message and I will arrange for samples to be sent to them if these have not yet been all destroyed.
