DragonBall Z: TV's Chance To Shine

Advantages: good tv program, its on Toonami now
Disadvantages: it can get repeditive

...This review is about the DragonBall Z TV show, that now previews on the channel called Toonami, on channel number 903 (if your using an NTL Digi Box). DragonBall Z is basically about Son-Goku (the main character in the TV show), whom when in DragonBall (the first series) is a young man, who grows up to be a protector of the planet Earth, of what he thought was the only planet, but then he ends up being the defender of the universe, and he has a lot ...
...Saiyan 4, which is in DragonBall GT (the 3rd series). Only Saiyans can go through these transformations. Piccolo has a few of his own, he has Sync with Nail, other words a fusion, what only Nameks can do, and he Fuses with Kami, which makes his much more powerful. Kami is the Guardian of the Earth for the beginning sagas, then Den-De comes and takes over. Den-De is a Namek, which they meet when they are on Namek.

Dragonball to Dragonball Z

Advantages: CN version censored for kids, kids love it
Disadvantages: Not for everyone, I hate censorship, pointless censoring, violence?, adult-ish themes, kids love it, too commercialised

...in 1984 known as Dragonball. Dragonball now consists of three series, a bunch of movies, manga, and a heck of a lot of merchandise. The first series is known as Dragonball, and begins the tale. The second series, Dragonball Z, continues the tale, and the third, Dragonball GT, continues the tale even further. The story of Dragonball revolves around a child named Son Goku. Although the origin of Dragonball is Japanese, the character is based on a ...
...Goku, refuses to give the Dragonball to her so Bloomer persuades him to come with her, thinking she could use him as a bodyguard and to use the Dragonball (which disappears for a year after use). So they go on the journey together gathering the remaining six Dragonballs. They meet up with a wide variety of characters, from enemies to those who later befriend them. They meet up with Master Roshi, the Turtle Elder or Ancient Wise One (aka: God of Martial ...

What next Dragon Ball GT

Advantages: Great variety in plot and story line, characters are al unique and progress in there own way, and all serve their own purpose. Takes place on a variety of scenes, and is just great all round fun to watch. The fight scenes are also incredible to watch.
Disadvantages: Some scenes go on for a tad too long, there are many shots of the characters just breathing which gets kind of annoying.

...3 style series i nthe DragonBall series. Dragonball, DragonBall Z a,d DragonBall GT. But right now i am going to tal to you about DragonBallZ. This is a great monument to the Anime and Manga style genre. It has great story, great plot, and has you on the edge of your seat each nail biting minute. The main star in DragonBallZ is a fellow called Goku. Goku is a member of the Sayjin race (pronounced Say-in) who was sent to the earth when he was just ...
...with indescribable power. In DragonBall Z, the strong martial artists are able to use special energy techniques (kinda liek the stuff you see on street fighter) although this i much more indepth with different styles and techniques that all the characters have. The DragonBallZ series starts with Goku a grown man, if you wanna see him as a kid you need to watch the original DragonBall series which are only in english subtitles as far as i know and ...

Advantages: Story as well as plot. Established baddies.
Disadvantages: A bit silly. Not for young kids.

...more combat in case a Dragonball wish summons them back to Earth. This cartoon is all about super powered aliens (and the occasional human) fighting each other. It is all presented in the animation style any one who’s seen a Manga or Anime film will recognise. Facial expressions are exaggerated, inspiring monologues are required before anyone can do anything, taunting your enemy is an art form and each and every attack is announced by shouting its ...

Then came the adverts in between cartoons, “Cartoon Network; home of the Dragonball Sagas!” Huge audiences were being attracted. The risk had paid off. ...

Great, except for the cuts...

Advantages: Unlike any other cartoon, and in a good way.
Disadvantages: Totally butchered when compared to the original Japanese version.

If you've never seen the original Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z, then you probably think it's one of the best cartoons ever made. And not without good reason either. Kung-fu cartoons aren't exactly all that big anywhere outside of Japan, and when you see Dragon Ball Z for the first time, it's just like nothing else you've ever seen. People fly, shoot lasers out of their eyes, turn into giant monkeys, blast fireballs out of their hands... it's ...
...Street Fighter and then made a cartoon about it, and it's the perfect thing for when you just want to relax, switch your brain off and watch something on the TV. But there are people out there who've seen the original Japanese version. They know all about just how weak the version we get to see is. They know all about how criminally bad some of the dubbed voices are compared to the original ones. They know about how the beautiful Japanese music ...

Rock the Dragonball Z

Advantages: It has a really good story, some intense battles and amazing music.
Disadvantages: There aren't any!

Dragonball Z is a Japanese cartoon about some fighters who try to guard Earth from evil Forces. It is a sequel to Dragonball and prequel to Dragonball GT, AF and TS. The main character is Goku; he is a Sayan from the planet Vegetta. This means he is more powerful than all the other guardians. He (like all the other fighters) has the ability to use KI attacks. This is when they shoot a ball of energy from their hands. This can damage opponents quite ...
...I have watched Dragonball Z since it started on Cartoon Network to the present day. I will still keep watching every episode until it ends. There was also some games made for Gameboy and SNES, I have played all of them and recommend them all to you. If you have never watched DBZ before or you’ve only seen it once or twice, watch it, I am telling you you’re missing out on something big! Every Thursday from 5:00 to 5:30 you watch Dragonball Z! In my ...

Toonami, the land of DragonBall Z and Others!!!

Advantages: great channel | great programs
Disadvantages: some channels are not that entertaining, to me anyway

Toonami is a channel on Satellite, use to be known as CNX, and still is in some countries. It changed to Toonami, as it was toons 24/7. One of my favourite programs is on here... DragonBall Z, as you know. I don?t know the times for any of these programs because it?s different each day around about. There are loads of programs on this channel, and first I will list them and give information about each program that I know of. DragonBall Z - This program is on quite a few times during the day, it?s recently been on at 1pm - 2pm, in my case, Happy Hour. DragonBall Z is roughly, an alien from out of space, who looks like humans, saves the Earth, fuelled by the seven orange Dragonballs. Justice League - Ponse program, it?s about seven super heroes that have formed a team, called the Justice Team. Batman and Super-Man are in this ...

Dragonball GT

Advantages: Continuation of a great anime
Disadvantages: Too repetitive

This show is a continuation of the ever-popular Dragonball Z. It takes place 10 years after Dragonball Z. Pan is now 14 and Son Gohan and Son Goten are adults (Gohan is 36 and Goten is 27). This show has a mix of the humor of Dragonball and the violence of Dragonball Z. Things I didn't like: HORRIBLE music!!!! It was probably the worst music ever to be in an anime, and it sounds like some 60's orchestral garbage for an action cartoon end theme (unfortunately most of the time it was playing music)!! Through the entire short-lived series, there were only 64 episodes and 2 seasons. It was very short for an anime series, probably because many people hated the show because Toriyama-sama didn't help with much, all he did was be an "artistic consultant". The show focused too much on Goku without much regard to the other characters. He was ...

Review of DragonBall GT

Not one of my faves

Advantages: Some good bits
Disadvantages: Much of a muchness

Dexter's Lab is the cartoon story of the boy genius mad scientist Dexter and his ongoing war with his sister Dee Dee. It's loud and it's brash and it's the sort of thing that Cartoon Network does very well, but I can't say that it's something I'm over keen on. It's quite simplistic and drab and has a single joke played out to the extreme. My 11 year old son quite likes it, but he much prefers Pokemon or Dragonball Z and I'm not sure who Dexter's Lab would appeal to. Don't get me wrong, it's okay in small doses, but it's not something you can watch hundreds of episodes of. There's been a couple of good shows, particularly the one where Dexter swaps places with his complete opposite alter ego and that made a change, but in general there's nothing here folks. ...
