Drakengard 2

I Love This Game...and not just because square enix made it.

Introduction

I had never herd of the drakengard series, i just happened to find it by chance on a trip to the local city. Though when i turned it over to read the back, instantly i was impressed, there was a picture of a character riding a dragon and it actually claimed you could do this in the game. At the time i had never herd of a game where this was possible, and i bought it, ignoring the £20 price ticket (may have been over priced but i was to caught up in the idea of dragons) and skived the next day of school to play it...and it was fantastic.
The Game

The style is very much like dynasty warriors, a very hack and slash style game, defeating 100's of enemies (and i mean 100's) in attempt to save the seals that keep the world from \"breaking\". The plot is quite good, not as entrancing as some of square enix's master pieces, but entertaining at least.

The main character is a dragon knight named Nowe and is the only dragon kin in exsistance, with his trusty gaurdian Legna the dragon, you fight as part of the Knights of the seal in an attempt to crush the rebels known as the Union in there attempt to break the seals. You can play as 1 of 4 characters, each with there own special part to play in the story, and up to 60 different weapons to unlock and 90 missions, and THREE different endings, this game is sure to keep you going for awhile.

Though the part of the game that makes this truly special is the dragon missions you get. You get to control a fire breathing dragon and destroy countless enemies and bosses with entertaining ease.

Closing Comments

Although i love this game a lot, it can get very boring for those who don't find joy in hacking through 100's and 100's of enemy units as it can get very repetitive. Those who are not a fans of the RPG genre will not enjoy this game at all and even those who are fans of the genre, be prepared for a lot of repetitive fighting.
But for those, like me, who find it somewhat what rewarding to see the number of kills you make in a mission (yes it does keep a count for you ^^) and enjoy flying on dragons, this is defiantly the game for you.
