One Tree Hill Rocks!
Review of One Tree Hill - Series 3 (Box Set) by
wondergirlxx
Advantages: Fantastic Storylines
Disadvantages: Gag Reel
...series 1 & 2 of One Tree Hill, as the packaging is smaller, because there are 2 DVD discs in each case (Rather than 6 separate cases like series 1 & 2 ). This makes it easier to store on shelving.
When you look on the extra features of this DVD box set it says that there is a "Gag Reel", but to be honest it did not make me laugh! I thought with 3 series of One Tree Hill filmed, and no "Gag Reels" on the other box sets that there would be more bloopers, ... ...a foreign language!
One Tree Hill follows the lives of brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, and their friends and family. Nathan and Lucas share the same father, Dan Scott, however they have different mothers. Although the two of them are brothers, they grew up in totally different circumstances. Nathan lived with his mother and father, and had lots of money, which made him grow up into a very arrogant person and not a care in the world for anyone ...

LOST DVD Box-Set: it helps you find your way
Review of Lost - Series 2 - Complete (Box Set) by
frankandhonest
Advantages: No Ads, No Cliff-Hangers, The ability to pause, Bonus Features
Disadvantages: LOST can be extremely confusing if you're not in the mood
...need to convince you that LOST is a truly incredible, dramatic, and ultimately addictive programme.
The Season Two boxset is perfect for all lost junkies. The bonus material, unseen footage, and added extras all add to the LOST experience. But their are three reasons why the enjoyment of LOST is so greatly enhanced when enjoyed as a DVD box-set:
> No Adverts - The most annoying thing about watching LOST on the TV was the flow of the programme ... ...end anyway. The writers of LOST are extremely good at ending each and every episode on a tantilising cliff-hanger which will make you want build a time machine in order to skip to next week's episode.
> The Pause Button - Throughout LOST, there are multiple scenes where subliminal images and rapid-flash scenes are used. When I was watching an episode on TV I always wanted to rewind and pause at certain stages to see what was actually on the ...

Round two of humour, lies, betrayal, and trauma.
Review of One Tree Hill - Series 2 (Box Set) by
paulpalframan
Advantages: Terrific acting from all, great storylines, many twists.
Disadvantages: none.
Season two of 'One Tree Hill' contains everything you would want from a teen drama; humour, secrets, betrayal, complicated relationships and many twists and turns along the way!
The show uses basketball as a backdrop for the show, but really the focus is on the lives of five teens who live in the town of Tree Hill. Season two starts where the first season left off. New characters are introduced and there is alot more trauma to come!
The show has ... ...think it is completely different and very entertaining.
I would reccomend this show to anyone.
Another thing worth mentioning is the music, very well selected, and in very good taste. The genre of the music is mainly alternative or rock.
Starring Chad Michael Murray and sophia bush, both terrific actors and both very attractive. ...

Fourth Time Around
Review of The Sopranos - Series 4 - Complete DVD by
sigmatech
Advantages: Continuation of a groundbreaking drama
Disadvantages: Adult drama, with adult language, and extreme violence
...was a low point for the Sopranos in many fans estimation, and I initially agreed with some of their sentiments unlike earlier seasons I found myself glancing at the clock occasionally during some episodes waiting for the story to kick in. The first time I watched this season I did think that maybe the show had peaked and was on the wind down, bereft of ideas the writers were content to give us endless minutes of Tony and Carmela arguing as their ... ...anywhere. I waited patiently for the Season to get going whilst my finger hovered over FF button on the remote.
The Season eventually did get going and produced some worthy and memorable episodes, but the Show as a whole didn't grip me the way Seasons 1 through 3 did. Maybe it was my expectations that were at fault, the Sopranos had raised the crossbar so high that it was nay on impossible to sustain the momentum. At least that was my initial impression ...
