Advantages: A bold different indian film Disadvantages: not for the usual bollywood fans
Naach - "Dance" (Hindi)
As we would expect from a Ram Gopal Varma film this is a high budget, high gloss bollywood film. Naach is full of songs, crazy outfits and intense dance routines. Unlike Ram Gopal Varma's other big hits (Rangeela and Mast) this does not have the usual Indian film industry as a back drop. Instead it a a much more realistic version of how the industry works. Naach is not one of the usual fantasy based saccharine filled films ... ...and script writers have succeeded in making the characters in this film realistic.
There are two leads in this film. Rewa is the female lead and plays the part of a struggling choreographer. Abhi is her best friend and plays the part of a wannabe actor. Rewa's ...

Advantages: One of the better docu-dramas. Disadvantages: Prices vary. Style may disappoint some.

Docu-dramas rightly deserve some ... ...However, in recent years the docu-drama has received an injection of creativity and funding that is slowly pulling the genre out of the hole dug for it by the likes of MICHAEL WINNER'S TRUE CRIMES. And at the vanguard of this reinvigoration is the BBC with 2006's THE IMPRESSIONISTS.
THE IMPRESSIONISTS was a docu-drama mini-series consisting of three one hour long episodes with a lofty premise that was bound to put even the most determined viewer ...

Advantages: cold, shocking but a very educational experiance. Disadvantages: very slow paced and distances the audience from the texts.
...was much more tedious than Elephant as it took ages to get into the story which followed character Blake, (A representation of Kurt Cobain) and his drug addicted life style. As an audience member i failed to emotionally connect with this character and felt the film took ages to finish. This simply undermined the texts main topic of issue as i became distracted and not involved with the events on screen. Overall, i would suggest that the box set is ... ...texts, i would have bought Elephant for a brilliant £7, by itself and not purchased Last Days.
The special features on both disks are adequate allowing the director to justify clearly his main intentions. The sound track to Elephant is Fur Elise by Beethoven and proves to be a memorable success in my opinion. The casting for Elephant took place at an American high school in which the actors cast had little acting experience and their roles within ...
