There are several other designs on the market today some of which have a tubular iron frame which enables the legs and hand rails to be folded; an example of this is the Draper Folding Kneeler and Seat. Whilst this is an advantage for storage purposes I still prefer my rigid plastic Hozelock Garden Kneeler/Stool even if it does take up a little more room. The 'list price' according to 'Hozelock' is £25.69 but you do not have to shop around too much to get it cheaper - around £15. Fold and Off we go

Advantages: folds and fits easily into a bag
Disadvantages: bit hard to sit on

Last summer, when my then 2 year old was potty training, it came to my attention that she was a bit small for sitting on big toilets when we went out. I lost count of the number of times she fell down the loo! I had remembered seeing a folding seat in a magazine and found it in Blooming Marvellous, but after a few failed attempts to order it from the net, I ended up going to the Tesco website and getting it for £7.99 plus £3 packing. I recently saw the seat in John Lewis but didn't notice the price. The seat is called a toodle Loo seat! My package arrived 3 days later while I was on holiday and it appeared to have disappeared until my mother in law announced that she had a parcel for me! Review of Folding Toilet Training Seat

Potty seat thats gentle on the botty

Advantages: Compact and soft
Disadvantages: A little expensive

. Whilst eating I told Darren I had seen a fold up toilet seat on the internet so I would order it. I had seen a rigid plastic version on the Boots website but it was out of stock and knew that my local Boots didn't sell it so I checked out the Mothercare website and spotted a padded version. The padded version looks a lot more comfortable than the rigid plastic version, so I opted to go for the padded version. I knew I wanted a few things from Mothercare, so at the weekend suggested we drove to Derby so I could clear Mothercare and Toys R Us out of clothes and toys.
