Even though I have been living with my husband for near on 10 years now, we have only just really started purchasing "new" things for our home. Many of the pieces of essential furniture we have was either bought very cheaply to cover a need or, in most cases, off my mum! INTRODUCTION Before I went to buy a new bed, I did a quick search on the review sites I'm on to see what the consensus regarding Dreams was, which is the nearest place I can buy from. It wasn't good! But then I noticed that the reviews were invariably from disgruntled customers, and that the total number of reviews wasn't enough to form a decent sample size to make any fair conclusion from. When we decided we were moving one of the first things on our shopping list was a new bed. No disrespect to our bed it was 8 years old and has lasted quite well considering but both of us were starting to feel that our back were suffering and we weren't getting the sleep that we needed. My wife and I purchase a bed from Dreams in August. We paid £2200 for "one of the best matresses in the store". We waited 3weeks for the delivery, which we didn't mind. After a week we notice that the memory foam had too much of a memory, so when I went to bed it was still dipping from the morning. I called many times, waiting over 20 minutes before I spoke to someone. They called out an independent specialist who said the bed was faulty. My aged aunt ordered a bed form Dreams 2 months ago and still has no bed, if you need to speak to them go through the selections and select "sales" its the only phone that is answered - do not hold for hours for so called "customer service" She has received excuse after excuse regarding delivery. 1. delay in production 2. date set early February for delivery ( even though I suspect they did not have the item) 3. delivery cancelled due to bad weather ( this may have been an excuse at times last year) 4. we can deliver bed but not headboard ( lot of use that is) 5. courier lost the bed 6 ... more
