Advantages Advantages excellent sports cap lid, not expensive

Disadvantages Disadvantages the website is empty

After doing my 100 lengths in the pool at the weekend, I emerged from the leisure centre desparate for a drink. I darted into my local Somerfield and spotted a new bottle in the refridgerator. I purchased the 500ml bottle of Drench, which describes itself as '100% clear, crisp spring water', for 55p which I felt was good value at only 10p more than their own brand and 20p less than similar sized bottles of other well-known brands. The bottle is attracftive. It has a pattern on it which looks like water cascading down the side of the bottle (you can see this in the picture that goes with this ... more

I have been on a quest recently to try and reduce the amount of fizzy drinks I have daily. They aren't good for you and I am more than a little addicted to diet coke. As a child I loved Ribena, anything blackcurrant flavoured tends to remind me of my youth and when I spotted a bottle of drench Blackcurrant and Apple in my local cinema, I thought I'd opt for a bottle of this instead of ordering my usual diet coke. The bottle itself is a typical plastic 440ml bottle with a sturdy plastic lid and an interestingly raised dribble effect around the neck of the bottle. I'd seen the drench water ... more

Advantages Advantages The coolest bottle design ever

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tainted, had bits in it, tasted unclean

Bottled water is still something I don't see the point in, Volvic was just bottle water that seemed like it was from the tap, Evian was just terrible and made me thirsty. I thought I was still missing something so thought third time lucky and tried to some Drench. Made by Britvic, the second largest distributor of soft drinks in the UK (only behind Coca-Cola), their product this time is head to head with Danome. Britvic are best known as being the people in Britain who sell Tango and Pepsi (under license from Pepsi Co) as well as some water products (such as this). Drench comes in a rather ... more

Advantages Advantages costs 30p, tastes good, well designed logo and layout, bottle is eye-catching and durable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing!

I was thinking of something to write about, and the bottle of 'Drench' on my bedside table came to mind. First of all, the actual water. I wouldn't really say there's anything amazingly special about it, it tastes like most other bottled spring waters, although in my opinion it is better cold! The main reason I love Drench is the bottle, unlike most bottled waters, it is a 750ml water bottle, which is, for me, a perfect size. I think 500ml is too small for me, and if I was out and about, a litre is a little too much to carry around all day long, especially when I don't have a bag. The bottle ... more

Advantages Advantages Flip top lid, Refreshing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

This new still water product is not widely available in UK. I bought a bottle of this while in debenhams. I am sorry I can't remember exactly how much it cost but it was less that £1. It comes in either 500ml or 750ml clear PET bottle (plastic) with a flip top lid, which is ideal if you are on the move. The shape of the bottle is slim top which comes out and straight down. The hardest part I found was removing the seal from the lid, if you have nails be careful not to break them. Once opening the lid, it's a non spill opening so to get the water out you need to almost suck it out or squeeze ... more
