Advantages: They rock! Disadvantages: So many games, so little time
playable of all the subsequent Mario titles, including the much loved Mario Kart. Even the format, 4 levels per world then a boss, is a classic.
I've already said that I won't choose any specific order for the games in my top ten, but if I had to, then this one just may top the pile (but don't tell the others I said that!).
FINAL FANTASY VII

Genre: RPG
Prior to GTA on the PS2, this was just about the finest way to lose large chunks of your life to a console! Although the previous 6 titles in the series had gone largely unnoticed outside Japan, number VII was a global hit. In much the same way that GTA is packed with optional side quests, FFVII was bursting with mini-games! Chocobo racing (and breeding), submarine battles and more other mini-games than I could possibly recall, filled the game to overflowing ...

RPG's (Role-Playing Games) are something that any fan will tell you, a game that can appeal to anyone, with numerous themes and ideas often original yet playable. By definition, RPGs are gamesthat have a singular point and expand in every single way, whether it be the storyline or character, the latter often adjustable to the players liking.
There are hundreds of RPG's out there, but which make it into my 'honoured' list of top ten?
10 - Galerians

Galerians is a weird yet enjoyable RPG Horror Survival game that was released in 2000. What i enjoy so much about Galerians is the unique style the game offers completely going in a different direction to the usual 'Fantasy' element many of today's RPG's opt for.

The Amiga was a top little computer in the days when the PC was still in nappies crapping out games with 16 colour graphics and PC speaker sound. With superb dedicated sound and graphics chips, the graphics pleased the eye, and the sound had you humming game theme all the way down the road to the chippy. With none of this tower/desktop business (on the A500, A600 and A1200 models anyway), your bog standard Amiga was basically an oversized keyboard with all the important stuff under the keys.
