I bought a Sony CD-Rewritable Kit around 12 to 18 months ago after having had two Hewlett Packard CD Writers fail on me. The kit came with an Internal ATAPI, Model Number CRX140E-RP. ...what you would expect of sony although the headphone do hurt my ears alittle As this is a couple of years old now there are far quicker external writers available. I've had this Sony CD-R/RW for maybe over 2 years now, and not once in this time have i had a problem! Installing the drive is so easy, you don't have to use the CD to install any hardware drivers at all, it basically works straight away. As for the user manual, i didn't really need to use it, but if you don't know how to install hardware on your PC then i reccomend you read it all. Or get someone with some experience to help you!
