Advantages: ummmmm
Disadvantages: Doesn't work very well, slow, intermitently recognises disks, poor back up service, need I go on?

I ordered my Freecom DVD Recorder LS USB 2.0 after my CD/DVD drive packed up on my 15 month old HP Desktop. I wanted it mainly to load CD ROM and burn DVD's from movies already converted to DVD format on my hard drive. Got a Floppy Disk?

Advantages: Quick, Easy, Reliable, Small, Fits into any pocket or bag
Disadvantages: Faded out use lately

I originally bought this external floppy drive a few years ago after the standard for laptops was not to have an inbuilt floppy drive already in them however at the time floppy disks were still in use from time to time. Freecom Classic Trouble Free DVD Burning

Advantages: Hard Working and reliable. Can be moved from PC to PC
Disadvantages: Desk space needed because it's external.

I've owned my external Freecom CD RW for some time now, and it has given me excellent service, even though I have "hammered" it, burning DVD after DVD of years of stockpiled home video footage. Time after time, I have had great results with just one unsuccessful burn, but that was a faulty disk -which happens sometimes. EXCELLENT DEVICE

Advantages: reliable, portable, no mistakes in recording
Disadvantages: noisy

we bought this portable CD rewriter couple of years ago in Currys. Paid something around £50. We were desperate to get something to sort out our increasing photo library. decent product if you have some back ground knowledge

Advantages: Fast and reliable
Disadvantages: Noisy and needs its own plug socket. Roxio is over complicated for personal use.

When i first opened my freecom dvd recorder i was impressed. it looked decent and very well put together. The installation went well even though it took longer than i had intailly hoped. When it comes to backing up your dvds and cd's the freecom does what you want it to do. It will not convert avi files to dvd format. I also found that the roxio program that comes with the freecom dvd recorder is not helpfull in its tutorial, the program seems over ...
