Reviews of Dry Cat Food »
Yum, yum, yum
Advantages: Cat loves them Disadvantages: Price
Now, I'm not a cat, so I can't vouch for the taste of these, but my boy loves them. Like all cats, he is extremely fussy, prone to changing his mind on a whim, so the fact that he eats these every day and has done for months, is a pretty good recommendation I reckon. I feed George wet food as well as dry (dry for snacking) but I actually think he's might be preferring dry food now. The vet also recommended these for his teeth and gums - I haven't ... ...so I don't know if they work. (And there's no way I'm risking my hand near the cat's mouth). They have adult food, kitten and older cats and a few different flavours. My cat loves the chicken one. I personally think it's quite expensive, but is does last. They also come in dfferent sizes - from a small bag (good for sampling) to a huge bag, which would be good if you had more than one cat. There's other dry food about that's cheaper (like Whiskas) ...

IAMS not impressed!
Advantages: Apparently good ingredients- no added colours, flavours or preservatives. Disadvantages: STINKS! Animal tested too, ugh.
...resort. We did however buy IAMS when my cat ran out of fresh food and these happened to be the only biscuits available. What to feed? There are many reasons why I do not like to use pet foods. Firstly, the ingredients are often cheap and unfit for human consumption. This means slaughter-house floor sweepings, bones, blood and sometimes even meat from sick animals. You will also notice what meagre quantities of meat are included in pet food ... ...be IAMS. This is because IAMS stinks so bad and made my cat and ultimately, his litter box, smell pretty awful. Furthermore (and this is the biggest stinker), I was disappointed to hear that the Sunday Express had exposed IAMS conducting vivisection experiments, which included cats and dogs. This is animal testing and not the cute kind (no taste testing to see which foods cats prefer), but research into muscle atrophy and kidney failure. They're ...

Loved by my cats - so loved by me!
Advantages: Nutritionally balanced and loved by my cats Disadvantages: Not the cheapest brand - but worth the extra
Purina One Pet Food This is a complete, dried food for cats (they produce food for dogs too but I am reviewing the cat one), available in all good pet stores. You can usually get samples from the bigger pet stores too so that can be a great way to try this on your pet before buying. The prices vary but this pet food can often be found on offer. It is probably the favourite food of my 2 Siamese cats. They are a bit fussy, and can happily turn their ... ...the evening and leave them Purina to eat during the day. Because it is dried, it stays fresh and they can eat what they want. when they want to. There are different flavours to choose from, and all seem to be a hit with my cats. We have tried most of the brands available and this one is definitely one of their favourites. Purina have been around for 75 years so have a wealth of experience in creating pet foods. If you are a cat lover and want to ...

Mew thinks this is great!
Advantages: Mew loves it, it's good for him, not bad price Disadvantages: None for us
...and their cats – liked Whiskas Complete so I thought I would try it if it wasn’t too expensive.
The current prices at Asda are as follows:
375g box – £1.21
950g box - £2.00
2kg bag - £4.31
4kg bag - £8.97
So two bags weighing 2kgs each would be slightly cheaper than one bag weighing 4kg!
The last time I ordered some Whiskas Complete I bought it from Pet Supermarket. Although it cost £20.64 for 7.5kg bag I did then get 5% cashback by going ... ...colour we now associate with Whiskas and their products. It shows a cat looking at the product being poured into a feeding bowl with the words ‘packed full of taste’.
At the top of the bag there is a sort of diagram of a zip about six inches long and all you have to do is peel this piece off the bag to reveal a long thin hole through which you can then pour the contents into the cat’s bowl. My first impression of this cat food was very positive. ...
