Advantages: Thick formula, legnthens lashes, cute packaging Disadvantages: expensive, needs She-Laq to keep it smudge-proof.
I admit I am a complete Benefit Addict- their cute packaging always appeals to me and I've found with most of the products I've tried that it really does do what it says on the package. Sometimes, however, a product disappoints me slightly- perhaps just after my high expectations. This, however, performed just as well as I'd expected.
I've bought many mascaras over the years, so I can confidently say I've had plenty of experience with mascaras. The packaging of this product says "for the biggest, baddest lashes" and, as I always go for "volume plumping" masacaras instead of definition, it instantly attracted me to it. The product information is "With a big, bad brush and a rich, black formula, it's like wearing a set of false eyelashes without the glue". For the £15.50 I spent on it, I expected extreme volume on my eyelashes ...
Advantages: Gives a lovely tingling feel; does plump up lips; long lasting effects Disadvantages: Not cheap, not a miracle worker!
When it comes to plumping up your lips, it's a trend that's caught on very quickly, with everyone and their mate now making products that claim to plump up your lips, from Soap & Glory's fabulously named Sexy Mother Pucker, to Benefit's dire offering, Lip Plump. Advantages: Great look, long-lasting (for the most part), easy to apply and remove Disadvantages: You need to invest time AND money, needs a top coat to be absolutely chip-free.
all fairly classic colours (although surprsingly, no black) - some are pearlescent, some matt, others are glossy and others have a bit of extra sparkle. I would definitely advise checking out the shades instore before purchasing online, as the shade I have looks NOTHING like the colour they suggest it should online.
There are limited edition colours released from time to time, so it's worth keeping an eye out for these.
You can buy this nail varnish from Boots, House of Fraser and Debenhams for £15. However, if you shop around online, you can get it for upwards of about £8.50. I DEFINITELY advise that you get yourself down to a shop and check out the shade that you want, I'll illustrate the HUGE difference between the colour on their website and the real colour of the shade I bought and you'll see that it's a worthwhile exercise.
