From the makers of the legendary Lip Venom - Duwop -comes a futuristic plumper bursting ... more
with celestial shimmer - introducing Moon Venom. Moon Venom has the same formula as the original Lip Venom, but is infused with stunning opalescent shimmer. Once applied, Moon Venom reflects the light, giving lips extra sheen for the fullest, flashiest pout. The secret behind Duwop Moon Venom is a blend of essential oils, which include cinnamon, wintergreen, and ginger, that cause the blood to rush to the surface of the lips, flushing and swelling them slightly. The gloss also includes jojoba and avocado oils that moisturize and give the lips intense shine. You end up with a shimmering, pearly pout that cannot be achieved by wearing ordinary lip gloss, with a beautiful iridescent finish. Celebrity fans of the Venom line include: Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Aniston, Teri Hatcher, and Sienna Miller.
Advantages: Splash of Colour, Easy for on the go, Good for DuWop Virgins Disadvantages: Less impact than Lip Venom, Not for Wimps!
If you are already a Lip Venom fan then I'm sure you will have combined it with a lipgloss - with Venom Gloss DuWop have done the mixing for you. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Lip Venom it's a clear lip-plumper that is formulated to enhance the natural pout and color of the lips by irritating the lips. The increased blood circulation plumps up your pout.
Venom Gloss contains exactly the same ingredients as Lip Venom with the same aim - naturally plumped up lips. The skin irritants in the venom are cinnamon oils. When applied to the thin and sensitive skin on your lips your body reacts in a natural way. Extra blood flow to the area - the result of which is redder and fuller lips.
Does it work?
A lot of my friends really love this product - but we all report different levels of plumping. With the original venom I ...
Advantages: Gives a lovely tingling feel; does plump up lips; long lasting effects Disadvantages: Not cheap, not a miracle worker!
When it comes to plumping up your lips, it's a trend that's caught on very quickly, with everyone and their mate now making products that claim to plump up your lips, from Soap & Glory's fabulously named Sexy Mother Pucker, to Benefit's dire offering, Lip Plump. But the first one to appear on the market was DuWop's Lip Venom, which I first came across in Pout in Covent Garden (which sadly is no more!)
Lip Venom comes in two layers of packaging - a cardboard cylinder which twists apart into two pieces to reveal a tiny vial, very much like what I imagine Juliet's vial of poison would have looked like! It's glass and contains just 3.5ml of the gloss and has a screw top, which has a small brush attached - just like any normal lip gloss. But where Lip Venom claims to be different is that it contains ginger and cinnamon, spices intended to ...

Advantages: Spicy tube of cuteness Disadvantages: Possibly pricey, but worthy of its price tag.
For those of you who use lip plumpers, does it tingle when you first buy it, and then a few days later you get used to it and it doesn't tingle at all? And yet for it to work in your mind, illogically of course, it must tingle? I used to be the same but then I found DuWopVenom gloss. This little bundle of joy has a non-stop tingle factor, somewhat like being locked in a room with Zach Braff, Billy Zane and Tom Cavanaugh - non-stop tingles.
Not titled as a lip plumper, but gloss that will "enhance your lip shape". A nice little way of saying this isnt going to change your world or what God gave you, but it will enhance it. This baby comes with its own spice, and I'm not talking Emma Bunton. Its "Spicy Colour Gloss". To steal something from another Ciao member Annaroos1 would say - it's like having a chili on your lips.
