Advantages: Range of compounds available, good grip in a straight line, cheap Disadvantages: Poor durability and poor cornering grip
...I've had D208s on two bikes, a Honda VTR1000F Firestorm and a Triumph T595 Daytona. Both had the standard D208, not the RR or the SP versions of the tyre.
The Honda came with the Dunlop as standard fitment from new in a 180 section, the Triumph had a 190 section put on briefly as an aftermarket supplied item. The Honda got through three and a half pairs, the Triumph just the one. Before anyone asks why I kept the standard ones there were two reasons, firstly the tyre shop recommended them for the VTR, secondly they never wore out as a pair, the front lasting about 1/3 longer than the rear. I only change brand as a pair and the front was always too good to just bin.
For me there are three categories of factors when judging a bike tyre:

Cost

The Dunlop has a bit of a split...

Advantages: Look ok, not to expensive, good feel and turning. Disadvantages: Might not be great for really fast riders.
...I did a couple of runs on main roads causing a little squaring of the tyre but no great issue. The front still looks like new and does as promised. The old Brisgestones felt twitchy turning in sharply and made the bike feel like it needed lifting out of corners, the Michelins turn in easily and evenly at all angles, giving much more confidence for me. I feel like I can approach corners with more speed and turn in calmly knowing that I'll get the same feel from the front at 30 or 60 miles per hour. With this I have been able to halve my chicken strips on the rear without feeling like I am taking a risk. I am not a fast rider but the Michelins allow me more confidense and I don't feel like I have to brake so hard before corners and can carry more speed.
All in if you are looking for a confidence inspiring road tire for a mid range...

I first started using Michelin Macadams on my FZR 400 exup, which for the size of machine used quite a fat rear tyre (160/60/17)
I was recommended the Macadam, as the tyre which was already on the bike had got a puncture while I was riding, overheated and wore the tread away. I needed a new tyre quickly as the FZR was my main transport to work.
I have since fitted Macadams to my Suzuki RF600R, and also my Daytona 955i (by this time the Macadam 100X has been developed into the Pilot Road - but in some places is still called the Macadam).

The FZR was known for its handling, and even though the Macadam isn't supposed to be out and out sports tyre, but more of an all rounder, the grip was excellent, especially in the wet. The amount of confidence it gave me on this...
