The Durabrand CD855 was a gift to me and like all gifts I appreciate them ... I mean who doesn't right. When I first saw it I was immediately impressed with the look and slim sleek design of the modal but I have learnt the hard way never to judge a book by its cover. Now with this CD player it is a bit old but still I think it is a good product to use even today. In the past my CD players either skip when I am running or there durability isn't really good. But for me personally I haven't found this to be the case with this modal. I usually go running with this is my pocket and I found it very steady and I feel very comfortable with it in my pocket. Also I have found that t doesn't skip and especially when I am running with it the quality is still there. I have to say I prefer to use this for running because in the past I have used mp3 players and me personally from my own personal experience I find that they can drop out of pockets rather easily and so that is why I prefer to use this CD player for when I am running.

For me another positive aspect of this CD player is that the sound is really quite good when you consider that the CD player is really cheap. The CD player it self is programmable and has really good features and all the basic ones too like the play, stop, repeat mode, etc. it has the search feature where you can browse your cd and look and play any song in any order you desire. For me the most impressive feature that this CD player has is the bass boost which is officially called "Equalizer Modes Bass boost" and this is located at the back of the CD player and defiantly gives the CD player more boost.

This Cd player is made by durabrand and I can vouch that it is called durabrand for a good reason because like everything I own I have dropped it a few times around the house and it is still in good and perfect working order. When you consider that it is relitively cheap when compared to other modals and other products it is good to see a product which is cheap and also made to last.

requires 2 double A batteries to work and personally I found that the batteries can die pretty quick which isn't so good.

In summary I think that this is a really good product I think that considering that it is a relitively cheap CD player and for a cheap CD player it is really durable and does its manufactures name justice as it is very durable product. Another advantage with this CD player is the base boost which is does give the sound a good boost.

A disadvantage of this CD player is that when the CD player is compared to other music products like mp3 players, ipods this CD player cannot compete with them for there functions and that is really the main disadvantage. Another disadvantage is the fact that the batteries do die pretty quick like I have mentioned earlier and so if your going to be on a long journey I would either purchase rechargeable batteries or purchase two or three packs of spare batteries just in case.

Overall I think this is a really good CD player for the fact it doesn't skip, its durable, and cheap and ideal for me when I go running and I would recommended this for fellow runners, and also for people that listen to music now and then. But for hardcore music listeners I wouldn't recommend this.
