...I've been using the Swiffer system for a few months now, and it really is the easiest way to clean. I use the dry cloths with the long handle swiffer mop, and then replace the dust catchers with the Swiffer wet cloths, which clean superbly. The old method would be to get on my hands and knees, hurt my back, and use the old dustpan and brush. Then, open up the bottle of Pledge Wood Floor Cleaner, squirt it out, and mop it around using a lot of power, ......adds even more work. When you are in a hurry, or just don't want to spend your whole day cleaning, these alternatives are not only easier, but I feel they clean better. With the dry cloths, the dust is grabbed up, trapped and doesn't fly around the room. It's easy too, since I gleefully slide it around the room, standing upright. You could even pop on your favorite tunes and put some rhythm into your sweeping! The wet cloths not only get more dust ... Read review

...~~~The Tesco Micro fibre Cloth and What I Use It For~~~ Found in a hanging packet over on the aisle where they sell car shampoo and other such items, you will find a hanging packet with a single large blue micro fibre cloth in it. That is the one pictured by Ciao and it sells for about £1.50. Tesco also now do a value range of these, with 3 smaller yellow cloths in a hanging plastic sack, for 99 p. You can use any of these cloths for household cleaning, ......put originally mine to, as a nappy booster. We use reusable nappies and being hypoallergenic and very absorbent, a single cloth folded into thirds made a slim booster for use overnight. My super heavy wetter otherwise would have needed a bulky terry booster or the added bulk of a small prefold or two lest he wake up with a nappy I could wring out. With just a single cloth, his overnight nappies were reduced to mere dampness, his skin was dry, and ... Read review

...last few months and the Flash dustmaster with extending handle is the best. The handle goes from approx 40cm to approx 1m ensuring high victorian ceilings can be reached without ladder! Its light and dark blue in colour, quite a sturdy handle with a button near the duster to lock into place, which I find very useful and differs from the other makes as they move around and you can't put any pressure to remove the dust unlike this one. I bought ......I also bought the standard starter kit with the small handle, not that I needed the handle but it came with 5 dusters which worked out cheaper than buying the dusters by themselves. Its easy to use easy to assemble, the dust does actually get trapped into the fibres, each duster lasts me around two weeks, (thats maybe dusting 4 times a week including cornices, ceilings etc) it works out more expensive than the normal bog standard yellow duster but ... I have seen this product being heavly advertised on t.v recently. I bought the starter pack about 2 months ago. If you have read any of my other reviews you will see a noticable trend, I will buy ANYTHING TO MAKE CLEANING EASIER!! It's not that i hate cleaning i just seem to spend most of my time doing it!! And i must admit i dislike dusting the most. The dust seems to follow me but my 2 biggest problems are spider webs & little hand prints. so ......them a go. ...between the slats of the blind and release the trigger. The brush now has a grip on the blind and the fluid-soaked fibre is in close contact with the slats. Move the brush backwards and forwards along the slats to clean, the bristles rotate as you sweep. Pull the trigger to release the brush. The woolly yellow fibre will now be a dull grey colour but it is easily rinsed off, then left to dry. If it is really grubby you can pull the fibre fingers ......You have to hold the blind taut with your other hand, as the brush grips tightly and you risk bending the slats. And, of course, it doesn't magically work its way round the string controls which run down both sides of the blind, and the middle of wider ones. But it's better than the alternatives. I've tried hoovering them with a suction attachment, but this doesn't remove the magnetically-charged, superglued dust, and anyway with the slats tilted ... Read review
