Dynamode Broadband Router BR-6004W-G-N - wireless router

This is by far the best router i have owned and used ( compared to an ordinary wired router and a belkin and also a netgear wireless router).

It is very easy to set up this router, infact i did nothing. plugged it in, hooked up all the connections, and it automatically recognised my settings (i have virgin media broadband).

I have had this router for about roughly 6 months now and havnt really experienced any real problems.

On the other hand this may not be a problem with others (problem could be due to the fact that english isnt my first language)

security on this handy router is great, it has WPA2 which is very hard to break into compared to your original WEP connections which are relatively easy to crack compared to WPA (from research) so WPA2 sits on a whole different level.

For added security this little router also has mac address filtering, so only specific computers can connect to it.

The wireless signal on this device is great, although do not expect any miracles if you buy a fast router but dont have the wireless card to support it (in other words, no point in buying a router with wireless speeds of 54Mbps if your wireless card is 11Mbps), I would like to point out that the building i reside in is 3 floors with brick walls, My laptops and computer (2 laptops, 1pc) get perfect reception everywhere.

A huge disadvantage, there is no real user manual supplied with this router, so i recommend if you have little experience with these devices, then maybe this isnt the router for you, although in its defense, everything is self explanatory on the webpages as everything is clearly defined, all thats required of the user is that they find out what each function does if its not obvious to the user.

Also please note, there comes a time in which technology tends to fail on us. This router is no different. As with any router (in my experience), if it fails on you and you cant connect to the internet, first check your internet connection, if all fails restart both modem and the router itself, this tends to fix most problems. If that doesnt fix it, restart your computer, you would be amazed at how many times this works.

At a great price like this (i think i paid a bit more for mine since i bought it when it first came out), i dont think you can really go wrong in buying it. It does the job, and in my experience i havnt experienced any REAL problems as of yet (bearing in mind 6 months is a lot of experience with a device)
