This game is based around the three kingdoms period of chinese history making it an interesting subject for people interested in oriental history even though its not historically accurate.
The game play is basically the same to other dynasty warriors games, the hack and slash gameplay is very versatile with many different combinations to unleash upon your enemies.
Also there is a wide range of characters all with their own unique fighting styles and feels when you use them. Making this a very diverse game and makes full use of the character range that they have created.
There is a strategy element to this game with the onbjectives to take the whole of China section by section battle by battle while you compete with several different AI ganerals to take the country. Also during the battles you have to capture seperate bases within the battlefield creating a more strategic game to play.
They have also reintroduced the character creation system that they missed out on in dynasty warriors for the 360. The character creation isnt much different from the last in the series but its still good with many different options for the gamer to pick and choose the look the fighting style and even the sound of thier custom character. They then can use the character in any meny battles that they will take place in.
In the end if youve played one game of the series youve played them all but Dynasty Warriors continues to be a very addictive game to play and people continue to buy them so this game must appeal to some if not many people, and i would definately recomend this game to anyone whol likes there hack and slash.

Advantages: Beautiful graphical detail, multiple characters Disadvantages: too simple, repetitive
After playing several similar titles, I was keen to have a look at this new offering on the XBOX 360. The graphical improvements were evident immediately and the music and gameplay were smooth and seamles. The flowing nature of the characters clothing and the smooth transitions from move to move were quite spectacular. The accompanying soundtrack is also appropriate yet not overbearing. The gameplay itself is quite simple and although repetitive ... ...around. Bosses are appropriately difficult, showing off their particular specialities and causing comensurate damage!
The aim of the game is to successfuly conquer each defined area on a map of China, and eventually become the supreme commander, by vanquishing opposing clans. One great point about the game is that by completing one campaign, others are then unlocked with different goals and leaders.
Definitely a fun game to pass the time, easy ...

Advantages: New Map, General Capture, Create A General New Features. Disadvantages: Repetitive Battles, Same As Old Games Not Much Change.
Dynasty Warriors 5 : Empires, what can you say about it, well its another Dynasty Warrioirs games, with a couple of new twists. The first being the world map whichyou can move your generals around as you try to conquer the world, the second being that you can actually capture the enemy armies generals and force them to fight for your army, even agaist there old master. Other than these simple add ons the games main part is the same as all other Dynasty ... ...more respected generals if your not good enough. The graphics of the game are reasonable but not mind blowing. The game is worth the money if want to try it because you've never played Dynasty Warriors before but if you have its probably not worth paying for it. ...
