    Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam

Mobile Suit Gundam
is an Anime series first broadcast in 1979, since then several more series' and a few movies have been released, as well as video games, one of which I'm reviewing today.
Gameplay

The gameplay of DW: Gundam 3 can be either terrible or unforgettable depending on how you make the game, if you sit there just mashing 'X' all day on the easiest difficulty you are going to get VERY bored, and probably sell the game very quickly, but, if you like a challenge you can play on Hard or Normal, leveling up your Pilots is so rewarding as you gain new combo attacks and extra SP bars (more on them later) as well as the Pilot themselves growing stronger, allowing you to do more damage on a whole.

Before you jump into the action, you have to choose a pilot, you have a few to start off with, but you can unlock 80 pilots in total, without any DLC, then after this you choose a mission then a mobile suit, every pilot has there own mobile suit, but through collecting 'plans' in the battlefield you may create more, which can be upgraded, with the Gundam type mobile suits, you must find there pilot and play as them, in that suit, 5 times before you may purchase a 'license' from the shop so you can use the suit as any pilot.

In game you fight masses of mobile suits, which come in large quantities, and you also encounter the odd Ace these are other named pilots normally in there suits they use in the Anime series, these are harder than standard enemies, much like sub-bosses, you destroy Aces and take over 'fields' to lower the enemy's morale, after this depletes to less than half you may enter there base without there turrets tearing you to pieces, here you can easily lower there morale to zero, by doing this an enemy Ace appears which you must destroy to complete that mission, this is the same layout for nearly every mission, making the game a little repetitive but this is easily counteracted by using a different mobile suit, pilot or difficulty.

You may also encounter the odd boss, there isn't many, but they will all get your heart racing, the camera angle changes to lock onto them whilst fighting them, but you can press down on the right stick to return to normal view, the bosses limbs and bodily parts can be temporarily disabled, allowing you to hack them up whilst they are immobilized, every boss has there strengths and weaknesses, meaning you never feel bored whilst fighting them.
Graphics

The graphics in this game are 'cell-shaded' this means it has an artistic style to them making it look much like the Anime series, if your not into Anime then don't despair, they look sweet and suit the game very well, meaning everyone's happy, the game also has many cut-scenes, some of which are fully animated and look crisp, but many of them are still pictures with text at the bottom which you have to press 'A' to advance, which is a little disappointing, but are capable.

Sound

The sound in this game is fantastic, sporting a immense soundtrack which really suits the game, with no vocals it doesn't get in the way of story either and many sound effects which differ between suits and attacks, making you really feel immersed in the Gundam experience.
Value

Value is a weird one, you can pick this game up from £10-40 brand new, so it really depends on how much you pay, I bought it for £35 and it was worth every penny, owning the game for about 2 weeks now and racking up 50+ hours without even 25% completion and never getting bored once is the definition of value for money for me, I would advise you to buy the game, think about price later, as you will not regret this buy!

Multiplayer

Multiplayer in this game as fantastic when played with friends, in racks up a lot of in game cash and endless laughs, with a leveling system in place it gives you something to work towards, there are 15 multiplayer missions in total, varying on difficulty depending on the host of the game, the lower the level the harder (18 is the starting level, and you work your way up to 1)
Summery

Gundam is a fantastic buy for anyone, but especially for fans of the Anime, as long as you challenge yourself, you will never get bored with this game and the multiplayer is a great laugh! I highly recommend this game to anyone, you won't regret this purchase!
