The dyson upright was the worst hoover i have ever had it might never loose suction because it's got no bag but it lost plenty because of the useless filter we bought the hoover for my mum has she has a really bad back and cannot bend but didn't want people cleaning for her. we thought she would be able to do it herself but she kept ringing us to go round because it wasn't picking anything up. so we took it to be mended thinking she knocked it or something it cost me £50 just for them to look at it because they said our waranty was invaild even though we had only had it six months and had all the documents. it turned out the filter was faulty so we brought another one and took it back to mum's. seven weeks later we had to send it back again and it turned out it was the same thing and again they charged me to have it done. this happen another four times in the space of four months so in the end we gave up and brought a henry hoover and i just do it for her. we lost all hope in that company as the customer service was so bad.

If you took it somewhere, then the person was an independent Dyson repair place who also does other brands. You should have rang Dyson themself for warranty work. They send someone out, and if it happens again, will replace it if it is in warranty.

I don't no weather the review is a bit angry but i have heard other bad things about dyson hoovers most of which were about filters. I don't think i will be trying a dyson hoover thanks for your thoughts it really helped.

IM sorry this does seem rather like a rant than a review which hasnt mentioned all the features of this model. Im also wondering how the guarantee could be invalid unless you bought from another supplier who isn't a Dyson affiliated company or the model had been bought reconditioned where only a 6 month guarantee is honoured by law.
