I LOVE my Dyson DC19! I paid £119.99 from LX Direct and I have also seen this great price in my local Sainsburys so it pays to shop around.
This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and I have owned MANY ( cats, dog, kids, big house, cars etc), any cleaner in this house is bound to take a bashing and I usually find that the brushes fall apart, or the hoses split and it ends up looking like a comedy of errors held together with duct tape, but not this one!!
So, what do I like most? Not having to continually buy dust bags has to be a major factor, and saves a lot of money.
Being able to see how full it is - I love this part when my son announces theres nothing wrong with his bedroom and and I go in there with the Dyson and come out with a full tank!
Being able to strip it down and wash all the bits is great, as pet hair and accidently vacuuming over something wet can make the inside STINK in any cleaner, but thats not an issue here as I strip it down and put all the removable parts in the dishwasher.
I havent had to buy new fliters yet as these are very durable and can just be hand washed in the sink, so again another saving compared to other brands that want you to keep buying these bits and pieces.
Its lightweight, so great for carrying up and down stairs and vacuuming stairs / car, awkward areas.
The cleaning brush is very slimline, so it slides under very low furniture which I used to have to pull out with my previous cleaner, it even fits under the front of the washing machine and goes back a few inches so catches anything thats gone slighlty under it.
It truly never loses suction and as its so easy to empty and doesnt require a bag I empty it every time I use it
It comes with every conceivable tool you could ever need, the most commonly used ones fit onboard and some lesser used ones come seperately.
It has never clogged, its been dropped down the stairs a few times and not suffered any damage, my son vacuumed up some water in the bathroom with it once ( NOT recommended!) and aside from having to empty it and clean all the parts, there was no lasting damage, so its idiot proof to a certain extent too!
