I am forever having to get the vacuum out and hoover up all the bits of ground up rusks and bits of dirt the babies manage to accumulate and I was fed up of dragging around a heavy cumbersome hoover around the house and so I treated myself to this dyson... what a treat! Long gone are the days where a treat would be a dvd or a night out!
I bought it from curry's for £200 and I think it was a good spend.
This dyson has a ball which is uses to navigate its way round. This makes it much easier to get around the carpets as it can swivel 360 degrees with ease. At first when I plugged it in and had a little test drive with it it felt very strange almost unnatural to be able to have it be so flexible! After about two or three attempts I soon got used to it and now I wouldn't be without it!
The ball definitely helps it move its way around the carpet. It sucks up far more than my other one did just from it's ability to get around the carpet alone!
The capacity of the section which holds the dirt isn't quite as large as it would be with ahoover bag, but then again I think I always just kept putting off changing a bag for as long as possible so the bag would always be so stuffed it was fit to burst! And it doesn't really matter that it doesn't hold a great deal as it's so very easy and quick to empty. You literally just unclip the cyldiner and empty it out then clip it back in and it takes no time at all!
The hoover tools are all very easy to use too and they slot away pretty easily unlike with my old one which used to take me ages to try to figure out which bit went where and eventually i'd give up and just leave them off!
This dyson is also very easy to clean. There are two buttons which need to be unscrewed at the bottom and then you can get into the foot of the dyson which, I usually find, is clogged up with big clumps of hair and things so once I clean that out and button it back in place the performance of the dyson is back to it's amazing abilities on day one!
Occasionally I find this dyson just stops sucking up things and it really frustrates me but there is a reset button which you press and magically it starts working again! I have no idea why this happens in the first place but that reset button must be magical!
It's quite light too which is good for carting up and down stairs and it's very slim so fits away under my stairs nicely.
I am not scoring this 5/5 as one thing that annoys me is the fact it falls over SO EASILY! When I'm hoovering the stairs or I have the hoover tool stretched up high to get a cob web from the ceiling I'm always finding the dyson tipping over and thudding onto the carpet. I'm sure it's worse than my old hoover was with this trick and I wonder if it's something to do with the ball mechanism or the fact it's lighter.
But all in all I would say it's a really good buy. I have had no problems with it and I use it virtually every day!
Advantages: small, good for small spaces, easy to store Disadvantages: suction not up to par
I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which ... ...me. I use the dyson for doing the rugs and quick hoovering through the week but use the miele for my stairs, going around the skirting, in corners and under things, and round the cornicing etc once or twice a week, as I find that the miele does a much better job, and I have to say the suction in my opinion is much better than this dyson anyway. ...

Advantages: efective little cleaner Disadvantages: Noisy
...vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under ... ...you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished. It really gets everything up. This does mean however that you need to empty the dust cylinder quite frequently. The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is not being stored in a cupboard as you have to wind it around the handle, and it would have been nice to have somewhere on the Dyson to clip the small brush ...

Dyson DC24 Vacuum Review ofDyson DC24 BALL ALL Floorsby

Advantages: lightweight, small, ease of use Disadvantages: small dustbag
...I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!) I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the ... ...Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. The dustbin is only small and requires more frequent emptying but this is not a problem. Stairs are easy to do as the power lead is quite long and the vacuum very light. I have not had any problems with it up to date
It has a 5 year guarantee and 7 day help line
I have had mine now for about 6 weeks ...

Advantages: Small, light and compact Disadvantages: None
I have owned this for a few months now and am very impressed. I have always been a complete Dyson-phobe and refused to give in like the millions of other "Dyson fans" saying that they were overpriced and not as good as my current hoover. I previously owned a Henry hoover and didn't think I could get much better until this little thing came along. Compact and small it stores away without taking up too muchroom (always a good thing in a flat) and it ... ...and handy to have when you need to reach corners and are vertically challenged. The additional "bits" that you need to remove and clean are easy (even if you are lazy like me and dont read the instruction guide). It is easy to empty with one button to detach the tube from the hoover itself and then hold the tube over the bin and press another button. The bottom falls away and the tube empties...easy and you dont get all grubby. This is dream to own ...

Dyson have made a good vacuum cleaner here, but the trouble is the regular Dyson vacuum cleaner isn't the smallest of devices. This is a compact version of its DC15 Ball product, (but just as powerful) down to the colouring and functionality. It measures; 74.9(H) x 28(D) x 34.9(W)cm. In reality this means that when packed away it is small enough to fit under your kitchen counter. The Ball design is the same found in the DC15 that allows you to move ... ...that features four wheels. This is a good alternative to the regular dyson if you have little space. It has the same amount of power and hopefully wont break down any quicker than the ordinary dyson. As always check out price comparison sites for best price ...
