The handling of the Dyson Ball is very smooth and remarkably easy. Once you've released the locking mechanism that keeps it upright, the vacuum becomes very flexible.
No more pushing and shoving the vacuum around the room or furniture. With a simple turn of the wrist the Dyson goes exactly where you want it to go.

I was intrigued by the "ball" by Dyson and went to Curry's to have a closer look.

No more pushing and shoving the vacuum around the room or furniture. With a simple turn of the wrist the Dyson goes exactly where you want it to go.
I've found that the suction is incredible. With my previous vacuum my carpets always looked clean and I thought that I was getting my cat's hair up too.
However after using the Dyson for the first time, I realised that it wasn't quite as good as I'd thought.
After going through my 3 bed home thoroughly, the bin was full (which I found quite embarrassing)
Since then it's been used regularly and my carpets are very clean looking, they've regained some of their fluffiness and are looking almost back to new!
The telescopic reach wand is great for those hard to reach areas especially the ceiling above the stairs, and the useful crevice tool gets into those smaller hard to reach areas, like down the sides of the sofa cushions.
The only negatives that I've found so far are that it's not so lightweight as they advertise. It can be quite cumbersome when you're trying to vacuum the stairs.
Also the power cable could do with being a little longer as you do have to move the plug several times when cleaning the whole house.
In my opinion the positives far outweigh the negatives!! I could give you all the technical details however they are readily available on the internet.
I paid £261.10 for my Dyson from Currys. It was listed at £299.99 however after some negotiation they agreed to Price Match their Internet Only sister company, Dixons.
More than value for money - I love this Dyson and would readily purchase another one.
Though with the FREE 5 year manufacturers warranty, I hope that this is not for some time to come!
Advantages: Powerful, will manovere well with a bit of practice Disadvantages: Still quite heavy, not that easy to follow instructions
...My old machine was the Dyson Animal (not the ball version) and it was heavy and a bit difficult to manovere very easily. After seeing the ads on tv which showed how effortlessly it seemed to glide around, I was very keen to buy it. I am happy with the machine, but there are a few things that are not so good. Firstly when I got it out the box to put it together, I found the instructions are not that great. Mostly they are just pictures showing where ... ...The dust container on this Dyson is a bit smaller than my old model, so I guess I will be emptying it that bit more often. However I thought I had broken it when I first emptied it as I took the container off the machine and promptly tried to pull the handle up as I did with the old machine, on this on you push it down to open it (I told you I am no good with following instructions!) This meant that the handle went out of alignment and I could not ...

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable. Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.
The Dyson DC25 all Floors vacuum cleaner is a revolution in houshold cleaning. Not only is very good at picking up small pieces of dust and dirt, but the filters are washable which makes it cheaper than some other types of cleaners. I love the way it manoevers around furniture and as it has a small and low head it can get under the edges of furniture as well as under my radiators. Something my old Dyson couldn't do.
It's very light weight, weighing ... ...The only draw back of this weight is that when you are using the extension hose to clean furniture, curtains or to get behind things, i found that if stretched to it;s limit the machine would move around and has caught me in the ankles several times. This is a little annoying as i have had to stand with one foot on the machine to stop it moving around.
It comes with a 5 year guarantee which is not bad for household equipment, but the replacement ...

Advantages: Manouvreable, easy to use. Disadvantages: Quite expensive
I have a number of pets (almost too many to count) that leave hair all over the house and after my vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost i started looking for a new one. I was originally drawn to the DC25 because of the fact it will pick up animal hair. After using it for the first couple of times i noticed that it had far better sucking power (alright that probably isn't the technical term) than any other vacuum cleaner i have ever owned. My carpet has ... ...the attachments on board and they all have places to clip onto the vacuum which is a great thing for me as i usually put things down somewhere and completely forget where i put them. The amazing thing about it is that instead of having the typical standard four wheels it has a rolling ball mechanism which makes it so much more manouvreable and easier to access to spots you never could without moving the furniture with a normal vacuum cleaner. In ...

Advantages: Ball technology makes cleaning quick and fun Disadvantages: A little on the expensive side
The latest Dyson and best yet. Have bought a few dysons and this is definitely the best and without a doubt the best cleaner on the market.
The unique ball design brings dare i say it a bit of fun to cleaning and you can whizz any surface in minutes. Wouldn't bother forking out the extra cash for the animal model as this model can handle most of the cat and dog hairs in my house with ease.
The wand (the stick thing you pull out) can reach all the ... ...the main body at the bottom and comes with 3 tools.
1. a thin nozzle which i use for getting into tricky places and edges of rooms. 2. The thin nozzle with brush which i use to clean pet hairs of them sofa etc and 3. a flat nozzle for doing had to reach areas and stairs.
The price is a little steep but overall a great product and with 5 year part and labour you cant go wrong. ...
