I'm a busy mum of 3 and my family & I live in beautiful (and sometimes sunny!) Devon. I previously spent three years working part time as the Treasurer for my children's Pre School, but I now run my own Handmade Cards & Gifts business.

I bought my Dyson DC25 Animal about a month ago now, and have been very pleasantly surprised by the results.
My old vacuum worked perfectly and I was more than happy with it, but once it started emitting smoke during use, I knew it was time to purchase a replacement.
I did a little internet research and as we have a cat, the animal dyson appeared to be our best option.
I was intrigued by the "ball" by Dyson and went to Curry's to have a closer look.
The handling of the Dyson Ball is very smooth and remarkably easy. Once you've released the locking mechanism that keeps it upright, the vacuum becomes very flexible.
No more pushing and shoving the vacuum around the room or furniture. With a simple turn of the wrist the Dyson goes exactly where you want it to go.
I've found that the suction is incredible. With my previous vacuum my carpets always looked clean and I thought that I was getting my cat's hair up too.
However after using the Dyson for the first time, I realised that it wasn't quite as good as I'd thought.
After going through my 3 bed home thoroughly, the bin was full (which I found quite embarrassing)
Since then it's been used regularly and my carpets are very clean looking, they've regained some of their fluffiness and are looking almost back to new!
The telescopic reach wand is great for those hard to reach areas especially the ceiling above the stairs, and the useful crevice tool gets into those smaller hard to reach areas, like down the sides of the sofa cushions.
The only negatives that I've found so far are that it's not so lightweight as they advertise. It can be quite cumbersome when you're trying to vacuum the stairs.
Also the power cable could do with being a little longer as you do have to move the plug several times when cleaning the whole house.
In my opinion the positives far outweigh the negatives!! I could give you all the technical details however they are readily available on the internet.
I paid £261.10 for my Dyson from Currys. It was listed at £299.99 however after some negotiation they agreed to Price Match their Internet Only sister company, Dixons.
More than value for money - I love this Dyson and would readily purchase another one.
Though with the FREE 5 year manufacturers warranty, I hope that this is not for some time to come!

I have just bought one of these from Amazon, It is now assembled and tested, first impressions are that it is brilliant, my old dyson used to pick up the seed thrown out from the parrots cage then spit them out onto the floor again, this one cleaned them up in no time at all, nicely reviewed :)

My next vacuum is going to be the Dyson ball one. I've been using the ordinary Dyson for a few years now and wouldn't use any other make xx
