THE STORY TO GO WITH THE OPINION
Now I bet that you are all wondering why a 16 year old male would be writing about a hoover. Being a Travel Agent one of my daily routines is to hoover up at 5.30pm when the office closes (5.00pm if it’s a Saturday). For the first three months that I worked their we(the shop) had to make do with a not so good Panasonic which never had the bag in it changed once.
The Panasonic sucked in air and nothing else. The carpet looked just as bad as when I first started. Obviously the hoover was out of date and in desperate need of a substitution. So straight to the manager to put the suggestion forward of a new hoover. The manager gladly agreed but, we both came to a hitch (more him than me, you will see why in a minute).
The choice of hoover’s is endless and there are so many to choose from. One brand has something better than another or some brands seem to have “new revolutionary technology”. Making your mind up can be difficult but for my manager it was made easy.
I have worked for Dixon’s group ltd and have become familiar with the DYSON range. I personally thought that the DYSON DC04 was the most popular and gave my view to the “Big cheese” LOL!!!
With a brand new bag less hoover
I knew that a perfectly clean carpet and floor was one hoover away. Straight out of the box it came and the instruction booklet was very easy and helpful. Plugged it in and turned it on. First thoughts were basically WOW! It required very little work and glided across all surfaces with great ease. A little nudge sent it away and all I had to do was follow it and direct it. The results were fantastic a scruffy blue carpet now looked brand new with not a speck of dust on it.
NOW ONTO ALL OF THE TECHNICAL DETAILS WHICH I WILL KEEP AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE:
Dimensions are as follows - 34cm x 32cm x 114cm The weight of the hoover when there it is not full with waste is 8.1kg It has a suction power of 230AW (air watts) Because it is bag lass it has a compartment for the waste which is commonly known as a bin. The bin had a complete capacity of 4 litres And finally the length of the cord is 8.4 metres in length. The colours available are very vibrant, a choice of lime, purple, blue, yellow and there are some others available I think (I will double check)
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE DC04 AND SOME OF THE FUNCTIONS AND ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE.
I think that the DC04 is a very robust, lean, mean dirt sucking machine. The motor is not very noisey but is not very quite so it is and average hoover. It is made out of ABS and polycarbonate. These two materials make the hoover very strong and it could easily take a few hard knocks without getting damaged.
There are three tools with the DYSON DC04 which are the crevice, stair and brush tools. They all fit very conveniently at the top of the cylinder so there is no need to be bending over as they are all in hand reach. There is also an anti-jam brush bar whilst I am on the topic of brushes this is good because obviously it stops the main brush bar from jamming up. The is also another great function which enables you to completely disable the main brush bar if a hard surface needs to be cleaned without getting damaged.
The DC04 is a dual cyclone hoover which means that a lot better hovering. The hoover is capable of keeping the dirt in the bin with one suction whilst been able to suck up more waste with a different suction, hence the dual cyclone. I believe that dual cyclone took over 15 years to develop. But it has proved to be a well worth feature on a hoover.
The bin is made out of clear plastic so it is visible to the user when it needs to be changed this is great because it saves the hassle of having to open up a hoover and check the bag. I have to admit the first one or two times you take the bin off to empty it, you may find it a pain to clip back into place but as soon as you master it there will be no problems.
Now you all know about the hoover and its various functions you will probably want to know how much it will cost. When it first came out I believe it was in the region of £230 which is around 350 Euros. The company I worked for purchased it for £180 (275 euros) so it is gradually becoming cheaper.
There is technical support available for the hoover and someone from DYSON can come to your house in person for £49. But that shouldn’t be needed because it is simple to use and should be fine for years without any problems.
The packaging is easy to work with and the whole package is very easy to set up. I haven’t needed the Technical support yet because it is an outstanding hoover and I haven’t had any problems with it. It is a bit pricey but, the results it gives are very good and cant be doubted. Incredibly easy to use with very helpful instructions. If you have the money for it then it is a good tool to have in your home or work place.
