Hiya, I am one of the many people that have dry flaky skin no matter what they do, and I have a bottle of every moisturiser going, and this has to be one of the best!
E45 is made by Crookes Healthcare, which is now part of the company Boots. Sir William Crooke and his son Henry first set up Crookes Healthcare in 1912. Other products which have been produced by Crooks healthcare are Strepsils Clerasil, Nurofen and Optrex.
There are many different types of E45 products available, and I have the Moisturising lotion. I have dry flaky skin as I have already said. I get especially on my arms and legs, and I use this product almost everyday and it works wonders!
The moisturising lotion comes in a plain white bottle with blue writing. The only part of the bottle which isn't white or blue is the ring around the logo E45.
The lotion come out of the top of the bottle, and is supplied in a squeeze bottle. Each bottle contains 200ml, which is more than enough for me, but if you want more than this, I have been told it also comes in 500ml.
The actual lotion is white, and is a little runnier than I would like, but a little goes a long way, which makes up for the consistency of the lotion. The lotion has no particular fragrance to it, as it is unperfumed. This is because it is made for people with sensitive skin. This means that it is ideal for me when I go on holiday. I have quite sensitive skin, and when I am out in the sun, it makes it a lot worse, and perfumed lotions irritate me.
The packaging says it is a light unperfumed lotion that can be used all over the body, face and hands, for dry and sensitive skin. The bottle reccomends that you use this product every day. The lotion is sensitive enough for anyone to use, even babies.
The bottle says it is non-greasy. I have to disagree with this as I feel it is a little greasy, as when I apply it I can feel it on my skin slightly for a little while, but this is much less than with a lot of moisturising lotions.
The bottle has the recycling logo on it, and so the bottle can be recycled, which I always like to hear!
