Suffering from extremely dry skin I have searched what seems like an eternity to find a product which can relieve some of the more unpleasant side-effects that can often accompany this condition, particularly as I work in a relatively hot environment which tends to further exacerbate the situation. Most people have heard of E45 Cream in some form or another however the product that I will be reviewing here is Dermatological E45 Cream Treatment for Dry Skin Conditions 50g.
What is it?
Dermatological E45 Is an extremely effective and pleasant cream to use. The manufacturers claim that it has been clinically proven to treat and soothe dry, itching, flaking, chapped rough and calloused skin. It can also be used in the treatment of sunburn which I must admit I had been unaware of until I was doing a little research around this product. Handy for the up and coming summer months. This product has also been recommended for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, ichthyosis and certain dry cases of psoriasis. Unlike the lotion however this product need only be administered to the effected areas and should be used sparingly as a little of this product goes a long way.
Who Makes It- Warnings?
This product is manufactured by BCM Limited and is licensed to Crookes Healthcare Limited. It has a clinically proven formula which is perfume free and has been dermatologically tested. There is a list of product ingredients on the packaging and you are advised not to use the product if you are allergic to any of the individual ingredients. The product is to be used externally only. It further recommends that if you believe that an allergic reaction to using the product is suspected. Discontinue use. If symptoms persist then contact your GP. Furthermore this product must be kept out of the reach of children. Packaging?
The product comes packaged in an outer cardboard rectangulat shaped white box which sports the familiar E45 logo in blue and yellow and highlights that this is the Dermatological cream version of the product. The cream itself is in a toothpaste shaped plastic tube with a handy screw top.
How To Use?
This is very easy to use and should be applied two or three times a day or as required to the affected area just like you would use any other cream of this type. A small amount is all that's required.
Advantages?
This product really does work and I have certainly noticed a difference since using it. It's non-greasy emollient formulation is quickly absorbed by the skin, leaving it soft comfortable and relieved. This product can be used everyday by all members of the family including babies. It comes in a variety of sizes 125g and 500g which will be the size I will purchase the next time I run out as it will be more cost effective. The 50g product cost £2.14 unfortunately I am unsure of the price of the larger sizes. There is absolutely no smell whatsoever to this product which is great as some similar items can be quite potent.
I have found no disadvantages whatsoever from using this product. It does exactly what it claims to do. I have noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin particularly on my hands as hospital alcohol hand gel can be quite abrasive with long-term use. This cream is effective in combating this condition and I would have no problems in recommending it to others who have any of the dry skin conditions mentioned above. I also found it very competitive price wise.

...and off lid, with the E45 logo and instructions/directions for use clearly stated. To use it, you pout in your finger(s) and scoop out as much cream as you want and the onto your skin it goes. At this point, I try to impress on my children that it's preferable if their hands are clean because we all have to use it afterwards!
The tube is the same white packaging and directions and again with a screw on, screw off lid. This I always have handy in ... ...500g pump tub (the biggie)
E45 also produce products such as Itch Relief cream, moisturising lotion, hand cream and wash cream.
Probably well worth investing in if you suffer from dry or sensitive skin

Over the years, I have used this for many reasons...sore bottoms (children), psoriasis (hubby), drudge hands (me) and it certainly helps to soothe dry skin. I don't know if it heals but it dafinitely makes your dry skin feel better. At ...

I have suffered with Psoriasis for over 15 years, and aside from becoming stress free and avoiding all contact with pollen, smoke, sun and other atmospherically conditions, I have used a whole range of products in an attempt to sooth the itching and reduce the 'rash'.
Most doctors advice some sort of liquid paraffin product, or coal tar product - one of the better products I have used is Vascolene. However, in my quest for the best cream I tried ... ...for?>
E-45 is a light white emollient cream. It is aimed at treating and soothing dry, itchy and flaky skin. It is a recommended cream for conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and icthyosis - as psoriasis is similar to these conditions, I use e-45 for this condition.

I'm ... ...cream three times a day may help keep your skin problems at bay but I have often found that it can lead into a breakout of spots or cause my nose area to be very greasy. It also takes a while to soak in so your skin feels oily after use.

She used to have these giant tubs of the stuff with a pump attached to it and I always used to borrow some – especially before going out on the razzle on my legs to make them look nice and soft and moisturised. I, like many others suffer from eczema and dry skin is often a problem. However, I think that e45 dermatological cream helps reduce the problem.
E45 is non-greasy and unscented and helps to treat dry, flaking and chapped skin. It also helps sunburn too. Is there anything it can't do? Well it can't get rid of eczema completely but it dramatically decrease the problem. The product is also good as as it doesn't sting or cause any irritation.
Just make sure to rub it in completely so there's none left wherever you've applied it and you'll have your skin smoother than a baby's bottom in no time! :)

If ever you have a skinproblem then E45 is the cream to use, there are quite a number of different variety of creams for different purposes, but try them out and you will find one that suits you.
So, when I saw an E45 in the form of shower gel and body wash I had to try it out.
The shower cream was really smooth on your skin and it was so soft and it left you’re skin feeling soft and revitalised.
Normally, I use Radox but this was much better. I found dry skin was gone and it was just soft. It does certainly give you skin confidence and it comes in a nice bottle which will last you a month or so.
It is available from most chemists and costs about £3.99 but if you want soft sensitive skin and more importantly dry skin then I recommend anyone this brand. Excellent product. ...

I decided to apply it mornings and night times before and after sleep. Within two days of using it I could see visible improvement. My skin though still a little flaky and dry had improved! Now two more days on, my skin is almost back to normal, though I have been told to keep using the lotion.
