I had noticed that my energy bills were starting to soar through my heavily insulated roof and so I thought I would look around and see if I could save any money on fuel bills.I used two of the many comparison sites out there and on both occassions the company called "London Energy Online" came out cheapest. Lonon energy online is now called EDF.
I have to say that the first most striking thing about them is their prices. The average person switching to them from one of the most expensive power suppliers would save about £150. My saving was more substantial than that, but even so what good is money if your'e house isn't heated or your television doesn't have any electricity? well not a lot really. So for me a decent level of service is also important. So far I have to say I have been most impressed, they have a freephone number which you can call whenever you like and also have an additional range of discounts that can save you even more money. I signed up for their read and reward scheme which reduces a quartely bill by about £3.50. As well as this they also give out nectar points. To be honest I hope they put their prices up soon because I dont see how these poor people can be making any profit at all.
Switching energy suppliers is always a bit of a drag and this occassion was no different. However I have to say the freephone number with real people on the end of it made the whole giving readings etc much easier. You can do it all online if you prefer but I feel safer with the human touch. In the event the switchover went fairly smoothly.
Overall I have to say I am most impressed with both the service and the price of EDF and of course I am also impressed with the money that I saved.
