Advantages Advantages Colourful, easy to use, keeps child occupied while Mum is cleaning

Disadvantages Disadvantages Mop is too lightweight, dustpan could be stronger

My granddaughter lives in a flat on the fourth floor - there isn't a lot of room so everything has to be kept tidy and in its place. Since a very early age she has enjoyed cleaning and I remember as soon as she was able to walk confidently she enjoyed picking up her Mum's big sweeping brush, swinging it around and sweeping the floor in her own fashion. Sometimes I had a vision of the brush handle going through the TV or her Dad's Mac falling off the desk on to the floor. These images bothered me so I stepped in and bought her a cleaning set so she could use her own brush and hopefully nothing ... more

Advantages Advantages It can keep them entertained for ages

Disadvantages Disadvantages The kids will be under your feet

My little girl always wants to help me when I am cleaning around the house. I have even caught her trying to mop the floor and sweep the floor with my ones when I am out of the room. As they are kept beside the fridge they are easy for her to get out. Don't get me wrong I love her helping me around the house as it makes cleaning fun rather than a chore, but there are times I just want to get things done quickly. Also, as I work full time it is something else we can do together. She is already a cleaning freak at the age of 2 and half and its not that I make her do it, she wants to do it ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes cleaning something your child can get involved in

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nio mop and bucket included

From the minute she could walk and talk, my daughter has always wanted to know what I am doing, and to get involved with it . Especially when I am cleaning the house - despite needing constant nagging to keep her won room tidy, if I'm dusting, hoovering, or sweeping she wants to be involved . This has ended up with her having toy versions of almost everything I use - a hoover, an iron and ironing board, a washing machine - she's all set to move out on her own! One of the items I got for her some time ago is the Early Learning Centre cleaning set, Costing £10, this set consists of a mop, a long ... more

Advantages Advantages cute little set, durable, encourages children to clean

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Late last year my little girl developed a love of cleaning! This must have come from my mum as she is a real clean freak (- think Monica from Friends!!) and while I was at work quite often my daughter would pitch in and "help" my mum with her cleaning. As I knew she was to be receiving a kitchen for Christmas I thought a cleaning set would be great to go with it, and one afternoon I saw the perfect set in the Early Learning Centre. The ELC Cleaning set consists of a mop, long brush and a dustpan and brush, and it comes in blue. I was surprised that it only comes in blue as ELC usually seem to ... more

Advantages Advantages Keeps the kid entertained

Disadvantages Disadvantages no real draw back

My little boy was always trying to "help" do the cleaning with the the sweeping brush and mop but seeing as they were twice the size of him it became dangerous. So during a trip to the ELC one day my partner spotted the named cleaning set which was priced at 38 which we both thought was a bargin and as we also had a 20% off voucher we had it discounted further. I think there was some assenbly just screwing the handles onto the mop and sweping brush. The product itself is actually really sweet there is a mob, sweeping brush, dustpan and brush which i think is good value for what u get. All of ... more
