What did the town cost to build?
When it was bought the emergency station only cost £15, but this has now increased to £20, we bought the road/rail network and construction set in a bumper pack for £50 and this is no longer available, but you can still buy separate packs containing ... ...cost £15, while the airport was £20 and finally the tea-room cost £15. Now this may seem quite expensive, but they are very well made and seem to last forever.
How much will other buildings cost?
There are still quite a few buildings that Michael's town still lacks which include :

Advantages: Great Range, good value for money Disadvantages: Not many
...must for all toddlers. Early Learning Centre has such a wide range there is definitely something for everyone. My daughter has a few of these sets which she got for her second birthday and she loves playing with them. She has Goosefeather farm which consists of a Barn, an array of farm animals, some troughs, a pig sty, a sheep pen, a tractor, trailer and a play mat. I must admit the play mat is pretty much redundant but she plays with all the other ... ...a hay loft and five buttons that make various farm animal sounds, sheep, pig, cow, horse and chicken. I set up all the farm and put all the animals in the pens and the stables and she comes along and moves them all around very frustrating, no seriously, she moves them around and pretends they are eating. She takes them for rides in the trailer and tries to fit them all in the pen. It helps with animal recognition, sounds and makes her use her imagination.

Advantages: uses imagination, suitable for a wide age range, easy to clean, robust Disadvantages: takes up a lot of floor space, expensive to collect them all
My husband can't relax of an evening until he has made sure the animals are back in their pens and the inhabitants of Happyland village are all in their proper places. It amuses me so much I positively encourage Leah to spend all day moving her Little People from one set to another!

There are even roads and railways to join everything up!
The sets can be played with together or joined up, as the pieces are interchangeable and some of them link between sets. Or you can have various parts of Happyland scattered all over your house (we have a zoo in the hallway, a farm in the living room and the ...

Advantages: Lots to choose from at different prices, lots of enjoyment Disadvantages: Can work out expensive
I first discovered Early Learning Centre's Happy Land in the nursery. One of the children was moving house and they had a clear out and he felt he was too old for the Happy Land and decided that he should give it to the nursery. When my daughter was about 21 months we were in Early learning Centre and they had a sale on. We decided to get the Happy Land Busy Village. This contained 4 characters, a village shop, 2 cars, telephone box and a clock tower. It ... ...being Early Learning Centre it is likely to be able to be exchanged if you get a double, but if family ask this would be ideal. Next time you are in ELC just have a peek and you'll find you are there for a while having a nose about. ...
